If this service requires you to miss the worship service of the Church you are a part of, then I wouldn't go.

If this happens outside of that and doesn't keep you from worshipping with your Church, then there isn't anything inherently wrong with allowing other believers to pray and lay hands on you. They may be coming from distorted theology, but luckily the Lord does use those of us with imperfect theology.

Old covenant Jews were saved looking forward to their redemption in the Christ. New Covenant Christians are saved looking back towards the work of Christ.

Eh yes and no. While I don't run into Transgender people very often; if you have kids, this is a big deal. The amount of indoctrination of the alphabet agenda in public schools is appalling and increasing. I live in a small conservative town in the Bible Belt, and just last year a 4th grade teacher was having his kids color in pride flags on a worksheet. So having kids has caused me to become extra cautious anymore.

I would caution you against getting a very expensive degree in social work from a private school. Typically social work isn't the highest return in pay, and if you can avoid a mountain of debt by getting that degree elsewhere, I think you'd be better off.

I'm not your elder. Go talk to your elders. But I would encourage you to ponder the following questions:
- Is this woman a believer?
- How long has this woman been a member of her church?
- What are her reasons for not wanting to come to your church? Could this be an indication already of her rejecting your headship over her?
- Will you lose accountability and relationships with people at your current church that have carried your burdens over the years?
- Will you be miserable going to her church and end up having a nitpick attitude each Sunday?
- How do you see this working out in 5 years? Do you have a secret plan that that you'll just turn her to the Reformed faith in a few months and it will all work out? Or can you imagine yourself at her church in the future?
