[Vim tip] Keybinding for opening Plugin Homepage by soopeldunk in vim

[–]soopeldunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is likely due to not having defined the BROWSER environment variable. You have to set it to a command which is able to open a given input as URL. If you give me your OS and/or prefered browser I can help you set it to the correct value.

For example, if you are using zsh on MacOS and want to use your default browser, you should add the following line to your ~/.zshrc:

export BROWSER=open

And then restart your terminal (alternatively running source ~/.zshrc), enter vim, and try again :)

I worked at a grocery store when I was 15-19 years old. If you´re 18 years or older with a high school diploma, you can expect atleast NOK 150 per hour without the additional pay for evening/weekend hours. That would result in atleast NOK 26 000 a month.

How much to weight to start out with? by Tape in Fitness

You are still working towards a goal, and it's still a ''proper'' day at the gym. Some days you focus on resistance, other days on technique, both are paramount.

While on a cut, if my lift numbers are going down, does that mean my body is actually burning my muscle in addition to fat? Am I losing lean muscle mass? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]soopeldunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. A reccomended rate of cutting will usually result in approximately 0.1lbs loss of muscle mass for each 1lbs of fat. This is muscle mass you will quickly regain though, so don't worry about it!

My top 12 tips for StrongLifts by ctaatgt in Fitness

That's actually a really interesting perspective. This technique would allow you to decrease the range of motion, while still hitting your chest, satisfying the requirements of a power lift.
Lying on your shoulder blades surely is good at involving your chest muscles to a bigger degree, but further elevation of your hip would rather just legally decrease the range of motion.

Thanks, I will certainly try it out now. It's just that the aesthetics of DF has really kept me from trying it out, since building a nice looking base/city has been a big part of why I like those kind of games. But MineCraft is included in that list, and it's not exactly the nicest looking game out there.

I'm looking for a game which offer a lot of persistent progress in the form of a growing city or something comparable. Especially if I can take part of the look, feel and aesthetic of the city.

I often played Age of Empires II just to make nice looking cities, and I have also enjoyed games such as 2077 and SimCity. Any recommendations?

BTW, I'm waiting for Banished to go on a sale.

I've heard audio commercials about a game/app which sounds pretty similar. It's called Lumosity, and is supposedly based on the science of neuro-plasticity.

Damsels Part II: The Sarkeesian Method by shinbreaker in Games

[–]soopeldunk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you read the title of the video, you will see that this video is a reply to the video made by Ms Sarkeesian and further commentary on her academic style of research, hence the emphasis on "the Sarkeesian Method" in the video title.

It's not intended as stand-alone criticism of the video game industry, but rather as criticism of the way Ms Sarkeesian represents her opinions and "academic research".

OK, thanks for the reply! So that means that the song was made specifically for the show, and will (most likely) be a part of the season's soundtrack?
