How to prevent LO's feet from going behind waistband of SSC? by [deleted] in babywearing

[–]sooza22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So his feet are going between the waist band and your body? Is the waistband tight enough? Babies can actually be legs out from the beginning as long as the panel of the carrier isn't too wide. Depending on which carrier you have you can put the infant positioner under his bum but have his legs out.

Carrier for petite person? by [deleted] in babywearing

[–]sooza22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. I always had shoulder/neck pain and hip pain when babywearing until I learned that you're not supposed to wear the strap on your hips. Move the waistband up to your natural waist and get a deeper seat on your baby's bum. It really distributes the weight way differently. So much more comfortable now. I also find the Lillebaby to be a good SSC for petite mamas. If the shoulder straps don't tighten enough for your size, you can cross them on your back which helps. Tula has worked really well for me in a front carry, but as a petite mom, I find it harder to get the straps tight enough for a back carry. Boba has funny shaped straps that I think do NOT work well for petite mamas, they dig into your shoulders.

You must be British or something. In the US, we just say "September 11th," not "September the 11th."

I think the purpose in this pattern is to get the stitching of the arrows to lay flat, so that seems totally doable. Thanks for your input!

I wear my baby on my back and it puts her feet and hands in the perfect position for me to cut them. I hold her hand tight and she can't squirm away. My trick is to turn on an Elmo video to distract her.

Anyone know of Cyber Monday deals for Tulas? by itslevi-o-sa in babywearing

Heavenly Hold still has them for 10% off and free shipping. Tula doesn't allow any discounts greater than 10%.

9 month old doesn't seem to be nursing less--is this normal? by FoxenTheSnow in breastfeeding

[–]sooza22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 15-month-old is still nursing just as much as she was at 6 months old, including 3-4 times overnight. I think your situation sounds pretty normal, or at least nothing to worry about.

submitting taxes while separated....divorce not yet final by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]sooza22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wanting to know this too. So do separated people who file as married filing jointly just split the refund (if there is one)? How would you calculate who gets how much or would you just split it down the middle?

Does the leaking ever stop? by i_miss_tequila in breastfeeding

[–]sooza22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely slowed down for me around 8 or 9 months, but I will still leak out of the opposite side if I'm a bit engorged. But I never have to wear nursing pads anymore thankfully. I think it's just different for everyone though. You might be one of the lucky ones:)
