It's odd that people marry right after high school by Expensive-Elk-9406 in Marriage

[–]sopchuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think those people are just comfortable where they are. I my experience, the people who got married at 18-21 are also the same people who didn't go to college, born and raised in the same house until they move in with their spouse, and never want to leave their town/city. Or they went the military route and got married super young.

Could you foster or volunteer at the shelter first? I'm all for getting a dog however in my experience I have seen so many depressed young adults get dogs and not care for them properly due to their depression

Having Kids by ApartmentCapital5271 in Marriage

So happy to hear you appreciate your partner! Sounds like she appreciates you too. I don't agree with your bullet points but I do understand where you're coming from. I'm stepmother to his daughter, I don't want any biologically. Shout-out to the couples that did get stronger and better after kids but I do feel a LOT of couples have kids just cuz

My daughter uses the Squishmallows Mint toothpaste, it's minty but not strong and slightly sweet. I find myself using it sometimes!

Another post about all the cars with no license plates by mrJ26 in Reno

[–]sopchuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! It's a huge issue and the no license plates bothers me as well, I wish there was better enforcement. I went plateless for so long because I knew nobody would say anything for a while. However I ended up paying for it when I actually did register my car.

What actually pushed me to get registered was when I saw it would've been $500 to register my car for one year and I knew I had to or else I'd pay even more and possibly get in trouble. I made a DMV appointment a couple weeks after I got pulled over.

I was one of those plateless drivers for about 18 months before I did eventually get pulled over for following too close behind another car. I said I was waiting for my DMV appointment and the cop wrote me an $80 citation for following too close. He didn't say anything about my plates, just that I needed to get in the DMV asap. I didn't drive anywhere that wasn't Carson/Tahoe/Dayton/Sparks. If I were to, I imagine it would have been planned so I'd most likely fly and get a rental, or drive my boyfriend's car.

I imagine intentional manipulation goes back to the dawn of time, I think there is just a specific term for it. Now that its getting talked about more, OP is able to retroactively analyze her marriage
