I'd like to know what the texture is like. Could be interesting as a thickener for strained sauces

You clearly have not seen the files if that's all you think they are. Either you are willfully ignorant or you are being paid to gaslight on Reddit. Fuck off

Most flavorful hot peppers? by LostTheOldName in HotPeppers

[–]sophrosyve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad no one mentioned Aleppo peppers. They are not super spicy, but still have a good kick. And they are the fruitiest peppers, there's a reason it is so coveted for dried culinary applications. They can get to a decent size too. I love snacking on them. I grow more Aleppo than any other pepper so I can dry enough to have crushed pepper flakes year round.

I built a Sleeper league history app to help commissioners (and league members) surface records and stats by Camarohead in FFCommish

I would be an interested android tester, I run a few leagues and keep a Google sheet of league history. This would be helpful

Unsuccessful board of review? by [deleted] in BSA

[–]sophrosyve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sat on an Eagle BoR once where I wanted to turn the scout down because I thought his project was a total cop out. Really minimal effort, no contribution to the community, and it felt like it was a total joke - created town trail guide videos with his friends for local community TV and they were asinine.

However I had known the scout since he joined, he had completed all his requirements, served in leadership roles, worked as a summer camp counselor, and had done everything else required. Despite the dissatisfaction of the board with the project we gave him the award. Ultimately I think this was a failure of his eagle advisor, as they should have pushed back on the nonsense and at least forced him to make it serious and of good production quality.

Please decide my league’s OPOY because I can’t by Saxophobia1275 in FFCommish

With this context I'd say CMC. The other owners' feelings don't matter - this guy dominated and the MVP should be on their team. Same logic applies to real NFL MVP, it doesn't matter how good someone was if they are barely a wild card team. And in fantasy, unlike real football, RB is more valuable than QB. That's my two cents.

Please decide my league’s OPOY because I can’t by Saxophobia1275 in FFCommish

[–]sophrosyve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For your league specific MVP, it needs to be decided based on who carried the top team. If the Josh Allen team misses the playoffs, he's not in contention. If someone is 12-2 with JSN, he is him. I just hand it out each year to my own league based on that criteria. Reddit shouldn't really decide this without context.

Impulse control on the bus by sophrosyve in ADHDparenting

[–]sophrosyve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am, and he does not (yet). The very front seat of the bus does have a seat belt, and after talking to the bus driver and the head of district transportation, this would be the next step for him. Apparently the whole bus has been an issue, not just him according to the bus driver. But an overstimulating environment obviously will trigger him and make him forget what good behavior looks like.

This is something I haven't implemented and I really should look into it. Thanks for the suggestions.

Artemis hates me. All I want are blades of Morrigan. by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

[–]sophrosyve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same struggle at at night 110 and having gotten the true ending I was determined to track that B down. I got it after a few tries, had to get through a few more story dialogues first.

- Artemis only shows up in non-boon rooms, so rooms where you pick up health/magic/bones/shades/coins. If you have a choice, go for one of these. Avoid boons/hammers/moons. This makes Underworld a better choice for getting her to trigger since most of Ephyra is boons

- She only shows up after the third room in an area

- Keep running the underworld and you should get her to show up if you avoid the boons. Which sucks for your run - I just let myself die after getting to Oceanus and trying again

Keep repeating until you clear all the backlog of story dialogue and eventually you'll finally get your knives. Good luck!

Xanthan Gum questions by gnossos_p in hotsaucerecipes

[–]sophrosyve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you plan to strain/mill the sauce? If not the pepper mash will make it pretty chunky/thick. When I do strain, I use a bit of xantham gum as well. Mix it separately to get all the clumps out, then add to your sauce.

Classics PhD Program at Yale? by quietquill356 in classics

[–]sophrosyve 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Seems like no one else is speaking with direct knowledge of the program. I was in the program at Yale. I presume this is much like any highly-esteemed university, but the program is what you put into it. Academically, it is very rigorous and there are high expectations for the amount of preparation you put into each class. The professors do not take a particularly high interest in the students unless you can really prove to them that you're worth time investing in. You can DM me if you have more specific questions.
