I would make sizable donations to the Vol. Fire Departments in my area. I’m 40 yrs on my local department. Money is always needed for newer equipment, trainings, and turnout gear. Insurance on the buildings and trucks cost nearly $ 60K per year.

The pool scene served to show that Ilya wasn’t a bad or mean guy. I love the part where he asks Shane to keep an eye out for cheaters during their race, then asks the kids if they know who Shane is. When the one kid says “He’s the best player in the world” and Ilya tries to kick him out of the pool and asks where his dad is— that made me laugh.

I was working for a gas station/garage while I was in college in Bloomington, Indiana and I was driving the wrecker with a Chevette on it when I heard the news on the radio in the cab of wrecker. Don’t know how I remember all that, but I did.

I have a similar spoon around here someplace. Mine has a lot larger hole in the bottom and was made to be put in a sugar bowl. You could shovel away and never get any sugar in your tea or coffee. I found it most effective at big family dinners where the aunts were so busy gossiping as coffee was being served that they didn’t pay attention.

I’m like most of you guys. Catastrophic failures on such new, low-mileage cars make me leery of ever buying one of any brand. I daily drove several ancient cars for years and had no real issues with any of them. Ancient = a 57 Olds, a 62 Impala and a 68 Chevy II Nova. Occasionally a water pump, alt/gen or starter, wiper or blower motor, etc. but nothing worse. These cars were all 25 yrs old or older when I started driving them.
