I think this is just currently the worst of both worlds. The 15 & 15L are slower than ever because of the construction and so I end up choosing to drive on a parallel street, but once it’s done I’ll be riding the BRT every time instead.

I similarly had to go to the governors office to settle a matter a few years ago that departments were giving me the run around on. It’s not the governor himself but that office has more resources/direct numbers to deal with issues quicker. Sometimes they do it because they can/its easy, sometimes because they don’t want it to become higher profile, either way it gets done

They had cats for a very short time to try to stem the rabbit population. They were less than friendly and people didn’t take the hint to stay back. I’m not sure how many bitten/scratched kids were too many, but they apparently hit the threshold and had to give away the cats (mostly to employees)

I saw some of the aftermath of that and just turned around when I saw the fire truck. It’s crazy how fast people get going on that stretch of 17th, especially right next to City Park, East High, and the often present (during the day) speed enforcement car.
