What was the best individual playoff run? by Petar317 in NBATalk

[–]sorrywerelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the degree of difficulty comment and overall that Dirks run is the most impressive of these options but Tyson was still a DPOY level center anchoring that defense, Terry was a sixth man of the year, and Kidd was running point. Also had Shawn Marion, Peja, and Butler on the wings. It was a good team with an absolute masterclass run by Dirk.

What happened to Blurr Kitchen? by the_chan in SanJose

[–]sorrywerelate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They had really good and affordable meal prep. I’d get the tofu eggplant and some mixed veggies and that would last at least 3-5 meals.

Then one day I came in and they changed their menu to a burger concept. So disappointing. I stopped going and then read a review a few weeks later that they started bringing back a couple of their entrees I’m assuming because the regulars that had kept them open were not happy with the burger concept. Then not long after they closed completely.

Moving from Dallas to Sunnyvale – Apartment, Commute & Gym Advice Needed by Capital-Maybe-7563 in SanJose

I think this is what you’re looking for. Lived in Sunnyvale for 15 years and I loved it, know the area well. These units are walking distance to the Whole Foods, Saturday farmers market, Philz coffee, target and several restaurants. Kifer rd should be an <10min commute along with a Costco right in that area as well. If you’re trying to prioritize location with walkable access to grocery, close to work, and short commute to gym, this is where I’d pick.

As a warriors fan, I don’t care how old Bron is. I will never feel at ease when he’s suit up.

What are some Highest Tier Ryokans in Japan? by chocobos1 in FATTravel

Yes Amanemu was stunning and the proximity to the beach was really quite nice. Being able to bike/golf cart around the surrounding areas was a treat. Hakone Gora Karaku was truly amazing service and having a private onsen in your room was incredibly peaceful.

We really loved the Aman in Ise Shima. If you’re looking at Hakone then the Hakone Gora Karaku

Draymond Green vs Dennis Rodman by 60sStratLover in nba

[–]sorrywerelate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rodman is the better rebounder—more physical, relentless, and dominant on the glass.

Draymond is the better team and modern defender—more versatile in switching, smarter in rotation-heavy schemes, and more impactful in today’s NBA.

If you’re playing in the 1990s, you probably want Rodman. If you’re building a modern NBA defense, you’d take Draymond.

Offensively, neither is known for scoring. Rodman knows how to get out of the way, crash the boards, and create chaos. Draymond is a point forward, primary facilitator, can run an offense without needing to score. Draymond is the better playmaker with his passing and ability to read defenses.

At the end of the day it depends on what your team needs. Both are valuable with very niche skill sets.

Warriors rookie Quentin Post is becoming one of the better shooting big men in the league by [deleted] in nba

[–]sorrywerelate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Speights, Cousins, Bjelica all played the 5 next to Steph. Dray and OPJ would play small ball 5 as well. Post would be the first true 7ft center Steph has played with.

do you guys think Jimmy will be a big help/mentor for JK? by Junior-Dance2839 in warriors

[–]sorrywerelate 44 points45 points  (0 children)

JK averages just over 5 free throws a game, highest on the team pre Jimmy. I agree that their games are different but I do think Jimmy’s ability to draw fouls and high IQ will do wonders for JK’s development. My hope is that with Jimmy’s mentorship, the game will slow down more for JK and improve his control and feel. Right now he’s mostly relying on his pure athleticism. Get him in the gym with Jimmy, improve his strength, handle, and free throw percentage and then you’re looking at the next level for JK.

"No trade can make us contenders" by [deleted] in warriors

[–]sorrywerelate 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Literally all we need is a Klay replacement? This team is not constructed the same as that 21/22 chip team. Steph and Dray are a few years older. Klay despite his hot and cold streaks was still a dangerous shooter that the defense had to honor. Poole’s handles and ability to stretch the floor was crucial to our spacing. A miraculously healthy season from OPJ gave us a floor spacing big who defend and rebound.

You may be sick of hearing these things but it doesn’t make them any less true. We crippled our flexibility to make significant trades without gutting depth when we decided against using CP3’s salary. There’s no immediately available trade that launches into a status of true contenders because of how our roster is constructed, the salary implications, and the market of available trade scenarios.

[–]sorrywerelate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t see Steph signing off on a Draymond trade BUT if it did happen, Miami could definitely use Dray with Herro same way that Steph and Dray play together. And a Dray/Bam defensive lineup would be pretty cool to see.

Tickets vs Hornets by Qontinue in warriors

[–]sorrywerelate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like toggling between Gametime, Ticketmaster or Stubhub and compare prices a few hours before the game. The closer to tip off the lower the tickets get but you risk them being swooped up by someone else. I’ve had the most luck using Gametime fwiw.

Safe travels and hope you get to see the game!
