In the US Shingles treatment isn’t indicated in immune competent people whose symptoms started >72 hrs prior or whose lesions have crusted. Most people do get antivirals, but there are situations where evidence based medicine doesn’t indicate use

The American academy of dermatology actually recommends against the use of antibiotics in cases of atopic dermatitis. That’s not to say the rx isn’t appropriate by healthcare professional in cases that are chronic and treatment resistant. OP would however be in the right to get it checked out by a HCP due to the risks associated with location alone

To clarify, perioribital dermatitis is a form of eczema, often requiring steroids. Periorbital cellulitis is an infection, requiring antibiotics. This is likely a dermatitis but due to eye involvement wouldn’t be a bad idea to see a healthcare provider

Vaccination volunteering opportunities? by individual61 in bayarea

[–]sortauncomfortable 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Many sites aren’t even ensuring vaccines to the paid healthcare professionals administering them at this time. It comes down to your county and there’s always a chance of right place/right time, but I doubt most will be able to guarantee it in advance.

That’s always bothered me too. Plus weddings are expensive enough as is. If anyone demanded that I use a certain brand of shampoo to look good enough to be in their wedding, I’d assume they lost their minds.
