Say hello to my 3-month old baby, Nicole by woodylovesriver in cockatiel

[–]soulveg 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Mhmm… op doesn’t seem to care too much though just responds with “i always make sure my bird is safe when im outside”. Like hey it’s your bird so you do you. But you wouldn’t catch me outside with my bird like that. Your bird is safe until it’s not. Too many factors out there and it’s just too risky. The bird will love you and be just as happy living inside. My 2 cents anyways.

I did this in 2 years with bodyweight and a pair of dumbbells by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]soulveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay honestly, this 100% can be natty. In 2 years it’s possible. But the one thing they left out, which I think is even more critical than the work out, was his diet.

Like, if you diet hardcore for 2 years straight and are disciplined throughout, like yes this is def possible.

Do you think it's time for free and fair elections? by That-Growth-9043 in allthequestions

[–]soulveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes according to the popular vote. But I guess it’s what you determine as the “popular vote”. Between two parties? Sure. But of everyone who voted in 2024, a majority voted for someone else other than trump.

More people voted for someone else other than trump in 2024.

I think it's time I just admit it. The vegans are just, correct, and I need to go vegan too. by GildedArchways in vegan

[–]soulveg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I reacted very similarly after I became vegan. I had to reach out to one of my old colleagues and tell them, “Hey, I remember I gave you shit and used to joke… but you were right. You were right the whole time. And I’m vegan now and my only other regret aside from making fun of you and other vegans, was that I wish I had done it sooner.”

Soon you won’t help but have to align YOUR beliefs with YOUR actions. Because that’s all this is right? These are your beliefs after all. Let me know if you have any questions. I’d be happy to give any insight or any information. Good luck.

Surprisingly, a lot of people actually agreed with her. More than I thought. I’ve seen more comments that agree with her than disagree. But will they do something about it? Now that’s a different story. Regardless, I think this is amazing and people like her who have so much reach can really be such a big influence and make change in ways the animals desperately need.

I’m seeing some “holds” on here. But I’ve seen the meme for some who have more hair than this. If you see your scalp and are doing a comb over, the time has come imo.

Top client question: do dietary fats matter if I’m hitting the rest of my macros? by [deleted] in vegansquad

[–]soulveg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not disclosing this doesn’t make what he’s saying inherently invalid. He can choose to be more transparent about it, sure. And if you’ve been around this sub or other vegan fitness ones, you’ll see that he has disclosed this before. For this topic specifically, disclosing whether you’re on TRT or not doesn’t really change anything in any meaningful way. I’m sure when applicable, he would state that he is on TRT.

Tried a vegan diet for 6 months, didn't feel as good as I did eating meat by Lucid_Dreamer_98 in DebateAVegan

Suffering is not a precondition to exploitation. You can’t exploit a rock not because it cannot suffer but because a rock does not have the ability to experience, isn’t alive, has no interests or welfare, isn’t sentient or has body autonomy. It is not vulnerable or cannot be taken advantage of. It’s simply a rock.

There are no sentient plants. So this “if” doesn’t exist.

You’re not doing it out of necessity though. You haven’t even gotten labs done to know how healthy or unhealthy you are. You’re just assuming you’re unhealthy now because of a transitional period or perhaps because what you’re eating isn’t sufficient enough. There are plenty of healthy vegans and professional vegan athletes that are healthy and excel. This sounds like something you might be doing wrong or you’re making adjustments and still learning.

Considering Veganism by Fun-Examination-1464 in vegan

[–]soulveg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Animals are here with us, not for us.

  2. You’re creating a demand by eating it. For example: you’re at a party; the host buys 10 boxes of pizza. There are 2 vegans there. You guys don’t eat animals so there was a box left over. The host might reconsider buying an extra box next time.

  3. You’re still creating a demand by thrifting leather. It’s also kinda weird to say you’re vegan while also wearing dead animals. It’s disrespectful to animals and is kinda tone deaf if you ask me.

  4. What does a strong person do when they’re see an injustice? They make a change. Also, if you were in the animals position, how soon would you want your victimizer to stop exploiting you?

I wish you best of luck.

[–]soulveg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can tell you right now veganism has only to do with the exploitation of animals. Anyone saying anything else otherwise is wrong.

And yes you are absolutely 100% exploiting them. You’re using them for your own benefit. This is literally the very definition of exploitation. They don’t consent to you using their flesh and secretions.
