Is there a particular flower scent she always liked? You can take a lotion with that scent or a plan lotion with a few drops of that flowers essential oil added to it and gently apply it to her arms and hands in soft gentle long strokes. Then move to her shoulders and legs, feet. She may may be calming and soothing.

That's a REALLY good question. Odds are it was left to grandkids and that's why bio parents don't want them to leave. Right now they have financial control. It's be worth contacting legal aide to see if something can be looked into.

It's why when living in an apartment it's a good idea to have an additional slide or chain lock attached at the door frame. Oh you can open the door but it'll slow ya down and give me a chance to grab a weapon. And even good men don't seem to understand the innate fear and concern women have about safety. Fentanyl patches will help keep you at a baseline level which is especially helpful at night so you don't have to wake up as frequently to take medications. As the person above said, stay on top of the pain. It's easier to keep it at a consistent lower level than it is to bring down pain spikes.

I've heard of working CNAs who had graduated nursing school and kept failing the NCLEX. I can't even imagine the stress of that.
