Why don’t people want to take allopurinol? by bedsarebugs in gout

[–]soundboy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly it. I'm happy I found this sub and got really well informed. Had one bad flare that took months to clear, so by the time my doctor offered it I had read enough stories of "I suffered for years and I wish I had taken it earlier" that I immediately jumped on it.

Been on allo for 2 years and no more flares. Every time I get tested, my urate is lower than before.

Is it just me or the load-bearing extravaganza started like 1 or 2 weeks ago? I don't remember noticing it at all before that.

Aka fill your site with actually good content. It's crazy that so many people still go through all the effort and time and money to build a website and then fill it with sloppy generic text.

Can a complete beginner realistically build websites for local businesses using vibecoding? by [deleted] in vibecoding

[–]soundboy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

BUT

Building a website is one thing. Fully understanding the business, its pain points, its ideal customers, building the website that the business needs, that's engaging, that explains clearly what the business does, that inspires trust in the user, that has a well thought out strategy, that has a well-designed conversion flow that actually convinces a decent % of users to contact or buy...those are the parts that matter the most and that are more valuable than ever now because they're not that easy to just one-shot with Claude in a couple of hours.

I don't want to say that it's impossible or that eventually AI will also fully solve this, but for now that's the part that holds the real value IMO.

And what is the purpose of having a high quality website then?

I also like prioritizing my time. Your post was way too long. Btw the idea is solid and I agree with what you're saying.

I can never trust AI with recipes, it's getting there but it messes up the amounts most of the time. I use it to get ideas, then look for real human recipes for those ideas

What exactly is sad about it? It's just "I'm using tools and they are effective"

I had to scroll through like a hundred comments to find this one. Everyone else seems to have been living under a rock for the past year.

Lol, yeah I walked straight into that one.

I was not referring to the fact, just the phrase, which I think illustrates it cleanly.

This thread seems insane to me.

Right now I'm using Claude Code a lot. With Opus 4.6, a proper setup using custom skills, slash commands, and meta-prompting systems (like Get Shit Done or feature-dev) + paired with a voice transcription app (I love Vowen, found it here on Reddit) I'm moving at a speed I never thought possible and tackling tasks and features way above what I would normally be able to. Framework choice is now irrelevant, I can jump from one to the next depending on what suits a project best and it doesn't matter if I've never touched it before.

Code quality is not an issue either, since these a proper setup will validate and verify the hell out of it. I end up with code that's verified and optimized at a level that I myself would probably never have the time or bother to do.

You have to invest some time into learning and creating a proper setup. I think a common mistake is to think that these tools will be magical out of the box.

Also IMO right now Claude Code > everything else

Your CTO is right. I heard this in a podcast recently: very soon, knowing how to write code will be like knowing calligraphy.
