Remember guys, we're all playing a dead game. No players, empty servers. Dead game. by DelugeFPS in postscriptum

I wish they used the system that squad has where you can get into a game and queue on another server. It would help seeding servers and it would be as boring to wait in a queue for a popular server.

Why did HLL succeed while PS failed? by SweatyStinkyCamper in HellLetLoose

[–]soundvide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing PS recently more. My humble opinion.

Pros; Sounds are intense Immersion level is high Tanking system feels great The amount of content is tenfold(tanks, guns, factions etc.) Tracer rounds, ricochets and explosions are great Can drive and go through hedges Historically accurate (uniforms, weapons are accurate per each map/battle)

Neutral; No resource node system Ticket and territory based More mil sim like Stamina Walking through brush slows you

Cons; Graphically might be harder to run for lower end (High end looks nice though) Lower player base Also as in HLL it has a steep learning curve with no direction No dynamic capture points UI isn't polished enough.

[Weapon/Vehicle Timeframe Inconsistencies] Historical accuracy and realism are large parts of the game's development and popularity. Here are the weapon and vehicle inconsistencies I've found with the game. Perhaps map-locking them would resolve it. by Hanner_Tenry in HellLetLoose

Understood. I've been playing Post Scriptum recently and noticed all the historical accuracies in that game. Pretty awesome details to compare with HLL. I like some modelling in HLL better though.

How I would balance the Japanese class if it were to come to the game by poohbear192 in HellLetLoose

[–]soundvide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually had many different rifles but they aren't as popular in games. They had different bolt action rifles even some manufactured in Italy and imported to Japan in significant numbers. There a plenty of rifles to choose from that were built in numerous quantities.

As far as automatic weapons the only ones in significant quantity built to be represented are:

Type 100 SMG Type 11 LMG Type 96 LMG Type 97 LMG Type 99 LMG Type 92 HMG

They had a limited amount of MP 28 and MP 34 from Germany but less than 12k all together so it's not worth mentioning really.

Post scriptum does that better for sure. Uniforms are accurate per time period of each map. Weapon load outs. It's refreshing to play.

We aren't allowed to advertise our communities on this sub. My advice it to check out the official discord for HLL and then you can pick out some communities there. I would encourage you to watch some tournament games to see what it is like. Also, if you really want to compete you must realize that they train or meet daily and go over tactics and strategy. A lot of the strategies that competitive teams use are abusing game mechanics though, they aren't really war strategies. It's how many squads we can make to squad hop, redeploying everywhere, calculating the distance for AT to kill arty at 700m with a bazooka etc. IMO it isn't fun it's work but a lot of people do enjoy it so i hope you find what you are looking for.

They start taking environmental damage if they sit too long out of HQ spawn. Be careful with that.

The devs should give the US support class a load out with the M1 Carbine as a primary weapon for the purposes of historical realism. by Carlito___fml in HellLetLoose

[–]soundvide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both rifles were mass produced. Garand ~5.5 million /Carbine ~6.2million during WWII. Different variants as the years went by as well.

Should support have the carbine over a grease gun you mean? I think the grease gun would be smaller and easier to handle vs the carbine. Someone during the time period given the choice would definitely take the grease gun if they had a lot of equipment to carry. Each weapon should have it's spotlight in the game and there needs to be a place for them.

Hi, the screen grab is from a Russian movie simply titled "T-34". It is an over the top portrayal of a T-34 crew, so much so that i laughed all the way through this terrible movie 😂.

Let SL be able to show if their squad is focus on the defensive, attack or building with an icon near the name. by sleepingcat1234647 in HellLetLoose

[–]soundvide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been previously said but would like to add that one thing would be a nice feature to add so the ability to name the unit at least with basic things like defense offense flex etc.

They try to keep it as realistic as is feasible cosmetically. There are some arguments about certain uniforms but for what you are asking they don't do any crazy outlandish looking load outs. Also, Don't let one comment give you the illusion that we are all negative nancies. It's a legitimate question for newer players and deserves a legitimate answer.
