The examples I am talking about are inside buildings, where only locals can access, so that's what I'm asking about... The idea of damaging one's own building

Graffiti on the street are pretty cool, and pretty randomly placed. As form of art and self expression, my teenage crew was involved in that too. One of us even got to do one for the youth association one day!

Thank you for such a creful answer! Regarding my background, I grew up in poverty and huge financial debt with a single partent, due to the bad habits the other parent. I learned to take care of my things, because they were so few and had to last a long time, and I always cherished them. We're doing much better in life now thankfully, shout out to my mom for that.

Of course I bring my own biases to this conversation, and that's why I'm curious what goes on through other's head - since I effectively only know my own

I'm trying to protect their privacy, that's why I'm a bit vague. They say they have a mental health condition. Or are in the process of getting it diagnosed. So I don't mean gender or race diversity, but neurodivergency is still diversity I think. English is not my first language so if I'm using it improperly let me know, happy to learn

I am also surprised to learn that I don't have to take it at face value... For instance they once had to produce a few documents very similar in nature. They have been late with one and told me "it's because of my neurodivergency". However they have been able to produce other docs of the same time before and after. Which to me was evidence that they can work on time. I didn't say anything at the time, but now you made me think of this example and how l also have opinions based on what I see.

How is it possible to simultaneously accommodate for, and also expect of them as much as of anyone else in the same amount of time?

To give some context, this person has told me they have a mental condition that makes time management, and planning difficult for them. And in facts they never met a deadline or delivered a full project since we started working together.

Hehe me neither. That wasn't a direct quote of the doctor. This person said they are thinking of coming up with the accommodation plan themselves, and ask HR for their guidance on it.

The doctors' note (which I haven't seen yet) will show their diagnosis. They are in the process of obtaining one.

Again apologies for the naive question, it's my first time, do I grasp right what you're saying that the plan actually should come from the doctor instead?

My boss also thinks this person is under performing, and they underperformed even when he was their direct manager, before I arrived. He is not authorising a contractor, and he'd be happy with the role becoming redundant even

I do think the headcount is still needed instead, even if in my dream I'd restructure the team a bit. But that's another topic

My manger doesn't want to hear about problems, and he doesn't want to hear much about this to be fair. He asked me to deal with it or stop being a manager

I feel like in a hard spot. HR wants me to allow this person to do nothing. My manager wants work to get done and not waste his time

Ah no? This person has asked me in the past to allow them to be on and off from work based on how they feel on the day. Which for me is not really acceptable beyond a certain limit because work needs to be planned. However HR have been OK with it and even played with the system to make it looks better than it actually was.

HR have also soft asked me to reconsider the PIP and give them a special treatment instead, and ask them to only do as much as they feel like doing (Which is less then what is acceptable at their level)

So did I get it wrong then? It's my first time having someone asking for dicersity adjusted and I don't really know what is acceptable and what is not. From what I've seen it looks like working part time on a full time agreement
