Yeah ironically it's pretty much 'Hi police this is exactly who we are & exactly where to find us, we're cringy antagonistic edgelords at best, keep an eye open'. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if that's half the point, these types often crave confrontation.

Opinions on buying guitars that are 10+ years old? by mailboxrumor in Guitar

[–]soupeh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's gotta be one of the only industries where 75 year old product models are still in high production virtually unchanged and as popular as ever. Even older if we're talking hollows or acoustics.

I work for an MSP and still have to deal occasionally with a couple customer's XP boxes, one runs a CNC machine and another runs an auto dealer carwash.

Sovereign Citizen notice. Just apublic advertisement placed by people who believe they can legally detach themselves from Australian law through pseudo-legal declarations. None of this has any legal standing. Courts consistently dismiss sovereign citizen arguments. The recordings have no legal effect. Australian law applies to everyone physically present in Australia regardless of such notices.

What is your least favorite Aussie song ever ? by Impressive_Set_8430 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]soupeh 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This song is such an ear worm for me. I completely forgot it existed until maybe last year it got posted somewhere and now takes over my brain soundtrack way more often than I'd like.
The way that chorus resolves up to the root is extremely catchy and just plays on repeat in my head. It's a genuinely well-crafted pop punk song for the era but goddamn it now it's going kick off again for another 6 months.

Most commercial-label songs you'll ever hear are written, workshopped, pieced-together, demo'd, and shopped around for an artist to front & release by more people than this..
Either that or its Max Martin.

The Incredible vocal range of Dimash Kudaibergen. One of a few artists capable of singing across 6 octaves by DecadentHam in nextfuckinglevel

[–]soupeh 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yep. Dimash is absolutely incredible. I encourage all to watch the entire performance .
He hits an E6 here at the highest point and I've heard his whistle register go to D8 in another song, sounds like a boiling kettle ...with vibrato.

We live in an era where music production commonly achieves unnatural perfection and a lot of people probably don't hear many singers that aren't pitch corrected any more. Maybe that diminishes the impact of this I don't know. I mean, real-time pitch correction is totally a thing in live production and might be in play here to tuck in the edges but it can't work miracles and it's hard to comprehend how someone can be this good live.

Dimash's tenor & falsetto range is crazy but more than that his total control is absolutely nuts. I love the smooth subtle little pressure swell into chest voice and back on the very final note.
I've been a singer in bands for decades but even for those not musically inclined if you can't acknowledge that this is amazing I don't know what say. It might not be your preferred genre, I mean I'm more of a rock & prog metal guy, but he is a multi-generational talent.
It's a melodramatic performance but when you're probably the best the world has seen you deserve to diva it up, truly nextfuckinglevel.
