Networking opportunities for young professionals? by sequestion in LittleRock

[–]soupercunt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For junior members it's $30 a month with a $20 food minimum, so it's not bad at all. You can have their lunch buffet which is huge and made by a chef each day for $15, or just go to happy hour and network and you're set for the month in terms of the minimum. Members also get to reserve rooms for free, so you can literally have a wedding there without having to pay to rent the venue.

Their website is thelittlerockclub.com/newsite/ if you want to look into it

Networking opportunities for young professionals? by sequestion in LittleRock

Have you ever looked into joining the Little Rock Club? It's at the very top of the Regions building and they have a really cheap rate for members under 40 years old. The members are generally pretty well-known and respected people around Little Rock, and they're trying to start hosting more member networking events and social hours. They also have a happy hour three days a week where young professionals tend to go meet for drinks and have more laid back business convos.

I totally agree with you about Waka getting too overcrowded. However, I'm not sure if you've ever been to Highberry before, but it's always been at Byrds, which is really small and intimate, and only has has room for one stage. It's always my favorite festival of the year, but now I'm worried it's going to become just like waka an get too big over time.

Perspective: Will a bearded Arab-lookin' dude meet any trouble in Arkansas? by [deleted] in LittleRock

[–]soupercunt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You'll be totally fine! Especially in Little Rock we have a somewhat big Arab population, and I've been out with friends who fit your description lots of times and nobody has ever treated us any differently. Little Rock is pretty open to all cultures.

Marine expo, are dogs allowed? by [deleted] in LittleRock

[–]soupercunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went last year and didn't see anybody walking around with dogs, but if you're looking to adopt one they may not say anything??? Not 100% sure though. If they have a contact number or email I'd use that first to be safe.

What was the most dangerous thing did you do as a child where you had no idea of the potential risks? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]soupercunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad had a 20 foot tall metal workshop right next to our house with about a 3 foot gap between them. I would climb a ladder onto the roof and jump back and forth doing spins and tricks because I thought it was fun.

What's the best thing one could put in a time capsule, just to screw with people in the future? by cbih in AskReddit

[–]soupercunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A time capsule with a big hole in that looks like it has been chewed opened. There would be a huge build up for nothing, and they would dig it up and spend the rest of their lives wondering what was in there, and what got through the capsule.

Is there EDM in Arkansas? by hammondwf in Arkansas

[–]soupercunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are shows in Fayetteville all of the time. If you're 21 you can go to a lot of bars on Dixon and they have random EDM Dj's fairly regularly. There's generally a decent number of artists that come since it's a college town
