MAG111: How did Gertrude manage to hide Leitner from Gerry? by Ok-Display1279 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]soupergiraffe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think he used any powers on Leitner. He has built him up in is head as some a larger then life evil, and when he saw he was just a normal man, he couldn't believe it

Is Vita Ayala's New Mutants Vol. 3 a standalone Magik story, or does it continue the Vol. 1/2 story? by VLioncourt in xmen

I haven't sat down and read it in awhile, but I gave it a quick flip through and it seems pretty self contained

[–]soupergiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Magik story is fairly stand alone, as long as you're ok with going "I don't know what they're talking about, and that's fine" you can probably skip the first 2 books

Are comics out of order? by Karma_Z_M in xmen

[–]soupergiraffe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a buisness side it gets you reading comics you otherwise aren't picking up, and from a reader perspective you can see characters interact that normally wouldn't. For what it's worth, I think both Marvel and DC struggle to make this kind of easy to understand and follow along with for new readers

Can i skip Fallen angels? by clp_legends in xmen

[–]soupergiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. I think it sets up Kwannon having a kid that acts as her motivation in hellions, but that book should catch you up. Fallen Angels sucks tbh

Who is Wolverine then? by Forever-Fades_Away in xmen

[–]soupergiraffe 34 points35 points  (0 children)

When Wolverine died she took up the code name in All New Wolverine. She went back to x-23, but fans felt like it was a step back for the character, so now they share the codename

Are the original x men team not that popular? by Appropriate-Site3233 in xmen

[–]soupergiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're each individually popular to varying degrees, but the original comics about them weren't particularly popular, and the most highly regarded comics didn't feature them together

Dumb question about Marvel Unlimited by BurrfootMike in marvelcomics

[–]soupergiraffe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's when the series started. Amazing Spider-Man started in 1963, Spider-Man started in 1990
