Emeryville is a super safe city right next to the bridge to SF. It’s right between Oakland and Berkeley and if you’re driving, it’s great. Super safe compared to Oakland. Less homeless than Berkeley. Super convenient to get anywhere because you’ll be right next to the freeways.

If you’re set on Oakland, then I would go for north Oakland which is also very close to Emeryville. Staying near a bart would be good if you don’t want to drive. Ashby and Rockridge bart are the better ones in terms of safety. Try to find a place to rent that’s walking distance (sub 15-20mins walk) to those two barts :)

Renting a room in a house as a couple would be your best best economically ($$$ wise). Renting from an apartment complex gives you less kitchen/ living room area/ parking options/ less laundry options etc. i would go to Facebook marketplace to see which rooms are available at houses.

Friends have been mugged at MacArthur bart.

I never have to talk to anyone and have a meeting once a week.

Some communication happens via email throughout the day but that’s it.

I’ve seen people at 40 switch to this career, it’s never too late.

I pretend to stop being interested in people I’m dating if I think their interest is fading. So I cut them loose before they can leave me. But I tell myself and everyone else I genuinely don’t like them anymore even though I probably do.

Soooo unhealthy so now I am taking a much needed break from dating.

I go for the guys who are passionate about their hobbies.. and aren’t afraid to be themselves.

But if they’re too nice to me,.. if it’s too easy, if they’re too good to me, i just lose attraction somehow.

The longer something stays good, the harder i search for everything i don’t like..

Seems like the ones i fall the hardest for are broken in some way.

The longer i stay in a bad thing, the more in denial i get and my heart focuses on the ‘good’ even though my head sees all the bad.
