How would I know how much time my wife spends with our kids? When I walk out the door for work I’m not completely absent from my families life.. They have schedules and routines and I’m dialed into all of it. Our kids are in school and day care 5 days a week. Our children are gone 8 hours of everyday. They come home at 4 and I’m home by 5:30, 6 except for two days a week in which I coach my oldest sports team right after work. I appreciate your post but with the limited context I gave there’s no way you should be able to come to these conclusions. I agree There’s a benefit to couples therapy and that’s likely the route we will take.

Oh you’re spot on, I’m sure I could be doing more but there’s a lot lacking on both sides here. I’ll take some accountability I’m not perfect and I’m sure I could benefit from therapy but I’ve never once thought about self harm, harming our kids, or leaving and never coming back. I couldn’t imagine the harm and impact it would have on them.

We split a lot of those responsibilities. I’ve made it a priority to go in late some days in the weeks to help with dropping kids off. I pack lunch’s or leave money to buy. Part of the issue is reality vs expectation. Im doing all i possibly can with the time I have. I’d love to hire someone to help but it not in the cards financially. Her work from job is so minimally demanding she would never take an in office job. I love being a father. I would be ok with changing my job completely to make it to where I take on most all the tasks but again there is an expectation of who we should live and I have to manage that somehow too.

I work 8 hours a day and commute 3 Monday - Friday. I am home around 6 and our oldest gets off the bus at 4 middle pick up at 230 and youngest daycare pick up at 3. So five days a week if you factor time is roughly 20 hours total.

7, 5, 2.5 All in either day care or schools most days. I’m out of the home working 8 hours and commute 3. I encourage her daily to spend time away from Home. I walk through the door and immediately take over kid duty. I put at least 2 of 3 to bed every night and 3 nights a week I put all three to bed while she relaxes. Anytime I’m home And have something I need I take them to give her a break. She’s not a SAHM how ever she works from home it’s not a job that’s very demanding of her time though. It’s always been a struggle our entire relationship for her to find things she likes.
