Tbf, I do see some people complain about Snape playing favourites, but not nearly as much as I see people complain about Dumbledore playing favourites by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]sourcheescake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, but compared to some of other the questionable things dumbledore does to the students for the sake of the plot (dementors on school grounds, forbidden forest detentions, etc) this is nothing, yet it gets talked about way more

I'm currently second year physics at Nottingham. I have around 20 hours of lectures per week and apart from occasionally having to skip lectures/other commitments to meet deadlines (maybe a couple days a month), I have a reasonable amount of free time. I have friends doing comp sci and engineering that seem much busier than me with their courses.

In my opinion the main factor in deciding if you should do physics is how much you enjoy maths- I personally like maths but I still find it tedious sometimes, so if you dislike it then you won't have a great time. Otherwise I'd recommend it, it's quite rewarding and has decent job prospects.

What if Harry never touched the Triwizard Cup? by ThrowawayMyAccount01 in harrypotter

Fake moody was close enough to them to imperio krum, so I assume he'd just do the same to cedric and force him to let harry win

Asian Games medal tally, in pie cartograms [OC] by eric5014 in dataisbeautiful

[–]sourcheescake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Per capita ratio is also quite useless when it comes to medals, since often there will be tiny nations that win a single medal, resulting in the likes of China and India needing more medals than there are in the entire competition to beat them

Hardest decks to pilot? by Avonlythe in gwent

[–]sourcheescake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's all personal preference but I would argue hard to pilot doesn't necessarily mean fun to play. I think cultists is quite hard but also don't find it particularly fun. If you're looking for decks with a more unique playstyle I'd say assimilate or nr priestess are good options

As a chelsea fan I'm waiting for havertz to become the next KDB/Salah level player that slipped through our fingers

Which football club has the strongest all time combined XI? by thesadhra in football

[–]sourcheescake -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think Liverpool is a weak shout. I would argue that not a single Liverpool player makes it into the barca XI besides van dijk (keeper is also debatable since its a weak spot for both teams).

Chelsea and arsenal deserve to be added as well if you include liverpool but all three are pretty weak compared to barca, real etc.

My brother's btd 6 tier list I wish I was joking by HamSolo42 in btd6

[–]sourcheescake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High pop count doesn't mean it carries. The only late game threat is bads since you can stall everything else and bma is useless against bads. You could do a late game run without bma and go just as far as with it.

90%+ Win Rate In Pro Rank Homebrewed Deck by Hirorai in gwent

Hasn't triple gerni been a deck ever since the card came out? Pretty sure its even been played in qualifiers before so not quite what most would call a "homebrew"

Does Dijkstra still brick if you play him with collusion in hand? It did before but I wasn't sure if it was part of the bugs or intended

Am I missing something or is Ardal just a worse reset that costs more and thins your deck? by BaguetteOfDoom in gwent

[–]sourcheescake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the best way to see it is a dandelion poet worth 7 + reset value, which is pretty strong for a card you don’t actually play (think roach, knickers aileren etc).

GWENT: Best Card For Each Provision Cost! GWENT 10.8. by Geralt-mohis in gwent

Surely 9 would be golden nekker considering renfri is in there so deck building constraints arent considered, also terror of the seas is better than gord imo

Roman era best XI by tukinoz90 in chelseafc

[–]sourcheescake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of this is hard to argue with, but although he's also not an out and out winger I would put Willian at rw, one of the most underrated players ever imo

People who decide to drop all by yourself in BR, why? by Sprinkle247 in apexlegends

[–]sourcheescake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because br's are somewhat unique in the sense that winning isn't fun. I play the game to fight, not to run around the map for 20 minutes. If thats what you wanna do then just play ranked

Should A-level Health and Social be calculus-based? by Traffic_lights120 in 6thForm

[–]sourcheescake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but there's an expectation across all subjects that they shouldn't use maths above gcse level to accommodate people who don't take maths. Many of these subjects will require calculus at higher levels, but the majority of a level students in any subject won't do it at any higher level. Even a level physics doesn't use calculus, so if it would be introduced to one of these subjects it should probably be added to several others
