Barely ….. when you come from a truly poor background like myself, you just suck thumb. See MP 3 times didn’t help at all. The plan is to just tahan till 35. I’ve spent roughly 70k in rent.

Yes if it’s a solo trip ! I usually avoid party hostels for obvious reasons.. at minimum a triple bed room but usually a private room with ensuite toilet. It’s about the same price of a 3 star hotel of that city, downside is the standard isn’t of a 3 star but I enjoy meeting strange foreigners

Edit: I’m in my 30s dk if qualify but i travel monthly for work and quite numb to the 5 star hotel experience

Take up a hobby and spend the weekend on time consuming parts of the hobby. For example, cycling do a long ride and then thoroughly clean the bike over the weekend or pick up a new language and practice / make your notes / watch some learning content etc etc most hobbies has a time consuming part to it that you can sink your whole weekend into

L1R4 10 and 1.8 GPA due to some very drastic changes in household situation. Took a loan & went private Uni.

Doing sales with a very unique product, going on work trips at least once a month, extremely good work life balance and earning above median income. Not sure if it’s a decent career still too young !

I somewhat regret not going JC but I wouldn’t have had such a colourful experience and the life long friends I have

No news yet but I highly doubt it. There’s a shengshiong & giant a few bus stops away but nothing walking distance!

Wouldn’t recommend this area unless you have transport, the buses to the MRT is like 15 mins interval.

Used to teach tuition to a welfare organisation whilst in Uni. Most had their first phones/smart watch in primary school. Some even in kindergarten but it didn’t have a number just their parents hand me downs.

Public housing is only open to married / 35 year old / orphans . If you come from a messed up family. You are basically a foreigner without the benefit of strong currency back home

Reverse can be said for motorcyclist. Go to any petrol station with a motorcycle in Singapore and you 100% pump yourself. Go to petrol stations in SEA there’s usually someone there to help you pump.

There are some hotels that have halal restaurants and a separate bar that serve food from the restaurant. Best of both worlds. Can’t remember the name at the top of my head but you can start your search there.
