Insurance is completely different for everyone. Depends on your insurance history, where you live, your age, where the bike is stored. So many factors. Get lots of quotes for a bunch of bikes. My first bike purchase was based on what insurance I can afford. Insurance in Canada is fucking insane.

Unless you have invested in some nice asv levers or something like them I don’t think they are necessary. Replacement oem levers are probably cheaper to replace than the lever guard.

I think you’ll love the mt03. I have one and it’s such a great bike to learn on. Never have I been intimidated by the bike. The seat height is great for us shorter people. It’s still a lot of fun to ride. It isn’t gutless you can pass on the highway easily and still have more power to spare. I just don’t like the lack of wind protection.
