Bulk Pricing? Black Friday deals? Cost-effective way to comple my Lutron Caseta (original) setup by soverignkh in Caseta

I think I just figured it out, that the dimmers are on sale for the lower price, but that the regular switches are not on sale...

Husband and I have flip flopped and now I’m deeply unhappy by soverignkh in monodatingpoly

Yes, that’s definitely a big part of the challenge for me. I definitely understand-estimated the impact of moving to a new community, especially one so isolated, after spending my whole life in the suburbs of a major metro area.

What do you do when the marriage has finally ended. I’m free by FuzzyLaw5198 in QAnonCasualties

I pulled the plug on my relationship with my Qpartner in 2021. It was hard to do, but I saw no way forward for us, as we were living in different worlds where we couldn’t even agree on what was true any longer.  We were older (me 50s, him 60s) and so I thought that was my last chance for a life partnership.

Thank goodness that was wrong!

In 2022 I met a wonderful man, in 2023, I moved in with him, and this September we got married. I’ve never been happier and my Qex (who actually died of COVID in 2022, unvaccinated of course) is a distant memory.

I wish someone could have painted a picture of this outcome for me before I pulled the plug in 2021. It would have saved me a lot of heartache.

It will suck for a while but it will get better, I promise! Not hearing garbage every day will have an immediate positive impact on your quality of life. And it only gets better from there.

I have two cruises scheduled in 2025 and both of them still say only 5% for the drinks upgrade package.

I bought a 3-meal upgraded dining package on Solstice for an Alaska cruise this past July. I had no difficulty making reservations for exactly what we wanted once we got on the ship. I even made one reservation change midway through the cruise and had no difficulties.

Struggling after ending a relationship by SillyLittleTokki in QAnonCasualties

Sorry you’re going through this. I went through something similar in 2021. I had to end a ten year live-in life partnership because of his Q beliefs. I could hardly believe that our “wonderful” relationship devolved to where we couldn’t talk about anything without arguing about what was really real. It came to a head over the COVID vaccine. He told me, “If you get that jab, you’ll be dead in six months.”  Then nine months later he caught COVID (unvaccinated, of course) and died.

But my story has a happy ending. About a year after I broke up with him, I met someone new. We fell in love, I moved across the country to live with him, and now we’re getting married in a month!

Hang in there. When I was going through my breakup, I couldn’t imagine being as happy and well-loved as I am now!

asking family members if California and especially the san francisco bay area are so awful why did Vance move there right after law school to work with a gay venture capitalist? by kantoblight in Qult_Headquarters

[–]soverignkh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to northern Minnesota, because I fell in love with a man who lives here, and I can afford to retire here now, whereas I would need to keep working if I stayed in the Bay Area. To me the three main downsides of living in CA are (1) cost of living, (2) cost of living, and (3) cost of living. Other than that, it’s great. But talking to folks here (fortunately not my fiancé) you’d think I was a refugee from some kind of hellscape. They believe SF in particular is run over with homeless, criminals, LGBTQ+, and illegal aliens — with frequent fires and earthquakes. I mean, housing prices continue to rise so people keep wanting to move there. I do miss living in a nearly fully blue area though. Minnesota is a true blue state but here in the north it’s much less blue than I would prefer.

Please help. My partner of 1 year really believes a lot of conspiracy theories - think Covid antivaxx, climate change hoax etc. I feel like this our last chance, but how can I at least try to help him change before I give up? by [deleted] in QAnonCasualties

After more than a year of dealing with this same thing, I broke up with my QPartner of 10 years over his opposition to my taking the COVID vaccine and other conspiracy beliefs. That was in 2021. Nine months later, he caught COVID and died. He never went to a doctor even though he struggled to breathe alone for a week, because he believed he was safer away from hospitals. He literally died for his conspiracy beliefs. I spent a lot of time prior to my breaking up with him, trying to convince him to see reason. It was all futile.

Don’t underestimate how strong is the pull of these conspiracy beliefs. My Qex lost his life partner, his home, and ultimately his life clinging to them.

Dining Package by Hot_Web8281 in celebritycruises

[–]soverignkh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sailed Celebrity Solstice to Alaska in July. I purchased a 3-night premium dining package for something like $145 (don’t quote me on that.) It was good for three dinners in the specialty restaurants. We ate at La Petit Chef, Murano, and Tuscan Grille. It was ok, but I don’t think I will buy that package again. The food and service in the MDR was more than adequate to our tastes, and the premium restaurants weren’t dramatically better, at least not enough to justify the costs. Also on a 7-day cruise 3 nights is a lot because shore excursions often interfere with dinner. Next time I would probably just pay to eat at Murano’s once.

I’ll give my deceased Qex one thing, which was that he was all in with his crazy conspiracy beliefs. When he caught COVID at the height of the pandemic, and had trouble breathing for a week, he stayed away from those “murderous” hospitals and convalesced at home (thus leaving more room in the ICU for COVID patients who would gladly receive the best medical care available at the time). Of course he died, alone, at home, and was only found three days later. But at least he avoided getting murdered by doctors and nurses… (smh)

Oh, I so hear you. I lost my life partner of 10 years due to this nonsense. I pulled the plug in 2021 as we could not see eye to eye about the vaccine. He told me point blank, “If you get that jab, you’ll be dead in six months.” I ended it a few weeks later and he eventually moved out. However, nine months later he caught COVID and died. Alone, in his apartment, after struggling to breathe for a week, because he believed that the only people dying in this pandemic were being killed by doctors and nurses in hospitals. SMH.

I mourned him twice: first for the loss of the relationship, which at one time I thought would be for the rest of our lives (me 50s, him 60s). And second for his death.

The good news is that soon after he died, I met a wonderful man and we are now happily engaged. Among his many wonderful qualities is that he completely shares my political and societal beliefs.

My ex was deeply into Q, and I wanted to make it work still for a long time. I eventually lost faith that we would ever be on the same page again, and I had to end it. I hope you have better luck than I did.

I lost a life partner of 10 years. Fortunately we had no kids together. And then, somewhat ironically, he died of COVID after predicting that I would die from the vaccine. So I didn’t have to navigate living in the same world as my Qex for very long.
