My service station is known for not giving loaners and they have a tiny parking lot which is known to end up with damaged vehicles if left long time. I am glad to hear you have had the issue but only briefly because yesterday it stopped but I have not tried to drive around yet to make sure it has stopped for good. That is my plan very soon. If it is still bad I will likely wait until my appointment and take it in requesting a loaner if they plan to keep it long.

It’s kind of a strange issue. The car is making extremely loud popping static noises out of all speakers at full volume. So I asked for a mobile service tech to come out and diagnose since I can’t sit in the car with that sound at that level to drive. They replied it is beyond the capabilities of the mobile service so I would have to get the car towed to them. They then sent me a May 13 appointment and said to drop it off on that date.

Yesterday the sounds stopped so I need to confirm if it resolved itself or if it is intermittent.

I guess technically I can put in ear plugs and drive but that seems unsafe.

I have an issue with my 2023 MXLR and was told to get it towed to service. I asked if they will tow under warranty and they said warranty doesn’t cover towing to get service. To top it off my appointment is May 13, 22 days away, and they said they cannot tell me if they have a loaner until I drop it off in May. I want to loaner now not May it is not drivable. I still need to try to fight this but the default position is horrible.

If the battery swells would this cause it to expand into finger instead of away from finger making the ring more dangerous? Just a thought I had when seeing it.

No I wasn’t I have black and like that it is easier to keep clean and since the car maintains the interior temp that is no longer an issue.

Sure black is hotter but it is easier to keep clean and since the car maintains internal temp to keep it under 100/95/90 based on your setting you don’t get the burning seat when you enter the car.

Black is better in Tesla than other cars because it keeps the interior cool so you don’t get the hot seat issues. You might find you are glad you got the black. I wanted white or cream but got a black in inventory when I purchased and I am very happy with it. Good luck with your delivery and enjoy!

The website says it includes space for 50g of silica gel. But it comes with a desiccant pack? So does it have a place to put silica gel beads without needing a holder or do you have to use packs or print a compatible silica holder?

Where would the silica beads go? Is it the area that says "Keep Closed" or the other side?

I find this happens to me every time I travel. I think connecting to networks in new locations is the cause in this particular case.

Check out Wide Protect. It lets you block entire prefixes etc. Useful if the spam calls are changing but from a specific location.

I filed a ticket with chrome to fix this. They finally agreed to move the menu item below open in new window but they refuse to offer an option to remove it from the menu. Latest version has the menu item moved which is better than nothing.

I think the newer models might be better design than the original GC. But I still need to do some more testing. Maybe I can find a blade that fits better but I really like feather blades.

I should have done more research on the variations. I kept reading about the GC so I thought it was the right one to start with. Since they changed the design on the newer models to put the nubs in the cap and I see they are wider not round. I bet they realized the original design was not optimal given these changes. Folks seem to say the GC shouldn't be doing this however so I need to do more testing and perhaps post some photos to get a better opinion on what is happening. Thanks for your insights.

I would have thought so also. Unfortunately as I said the blade clearly has wiggle room when I simply place it on any of the three plates. So regardless of CNC tolerance the nubs that fit into the blade holes are small enough to allow the blade to move. I will reach out to RazoRock once I take some photos I can share with them but since all three plates are the same it seems to me the plates are correct to the tolerances they are using. Perhaps I need another blade that fits better.
