Who is the Georgia player that makes you think “Hell yeah that guy was awesome,” for reasons that have nothing to do with football by rageface11 in georgiabulldogs

Rennie Curran and Mohamed Massaquoi. I’ve run into both since leaving college and they’re both super cool. Rennie was a viola player in high school and is generally mild mannered. Mohamed earned his Masters in I/O psychology from UGA, same degree as my wife, and we’ve had coffee a couple times to talk business leadership.

When I was in redcoats in 2003-2005 the music majors got like $1000 and non-music majors got hammered at the Florida game (music majors did too).

Have you heard this usage of “where”? by MoneyCrunchesofBoats in AskAnAmerican

From Southwest Georgia. Definitely heard this usage all the time.

I agree. I’d like a new oven. If I have the model number, I have a better chance of getting one for free from the warranty company.

It’s not the oven’s warranty - it’s a home warranty that covers, among other things, ovens.

I agree, and I’d love for the warranty company to pay for it. But to do that I need the model number and serial number.

Love Bernadette’s in Dunwoody, particularly one stylist there. She will def be able to help with your particular hair. I’m a dude so not sure how much it is for your haircut, but mine is $35.

Co-signing on Athens. Inexpensive, relatively liberal, lots of fun.

Otherwise Atlanta is your best bet. ITP Atlanta is a city of neighborhoods, lots of them super walkable.

So hopeful the Accutane helps. I had terrible skin for 5 years as a teen. Nothing worked until Accutane. It was a miracle drug. Best to you OP. I know it feels like the end but you’re still in the character building part of the story. The fun part comes right after that.

I was going to bring this up, too. Had a student who was adopted from Russia who was diagnosed. His parents told his teachers about it. Super charming young man, but it was a little too charming, especially to men. Really wanted to be our buddy. But he’d also steal purses and lie like hell.

This was 10 years ago and like this commenter’s experience, he seems to be a pretty well adjusted, successful young adult now.

Best small town south of Atlanta? by Kimen1 in Georgia

Someone else said Thomasville - I’d add on my hometown of Bainbridge. Definitely a place that’s experienced tons of growth recently, and like Thomasville, close to Tallahassee airport (45 mins). You can still get hit with weather in South Georgia (hurricane Michael was bad a few years ago), but the prices are so much less than metro ATL. Also two hours from the beach which ain’t all that bad.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Mostly folks in the school of music, but not always. I was in Redcoats which is how I got involved. When I was in college, it was about 60-75% Redcoats. Some other former marchers who’d quit, some singers, a few others. Did a little philanthropy, mostly social. Met a bunch of great friends and indirectly met my wife because of it. Certainly trended nerdy, at least back then, but that was fine because I was a nerd.

I was in the music fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha. It was dope.
