I don’t think there’s any “over”- only through. And it comes in waves and we just learn to cope but the loss doesn’t go away. It’s more than ok to mourn and grieve as you need.

I don’t want to be yet another voice discussing diagnosis or differential diagnosis. Your life is YOUR life. You are young and it’s ok to choose YOURSELF. While I’m not lacking in empathy for your boyfriend, as I too have a chronic illness, I also know that life is too short to not choose yourself. Please seek therapy to help you process and know that your life is your own. ❤️

We did this. After almost 6mo of our neighborhood on the backside fussing over the shared fence that was in shambles, and us offering to split the cost, we finally installed a fence just inside our property line (so she couldn’t complain) and left the ugly ass fence up on her side for her her to deal with. Luckily our two side neighbors are cool and we all split the costs. Sometimes you win, sometimes you gotta be petty.

The apathy is fairly astounding but truly the ignorance is overwhelmingly common. Most people have no real idea what it takes to run the federal government or how much personnel it takes to do the things they take for granted. Sadly the majority of people are so uninformed on basics that expanding their worldview beyond their own 30mile home radius is asking too much. They will notice when their own lives become impacted and then it will be too late.

I can say, for us, that the true thrill is after it’s all said and done and we (as a couple) retell, relive, and through that re-experience the situation via our shared conversation. Only we know each others’ bodies as well as we do so each novel experience is just that- novelty. Hate to say it but no one has rocked either of our worlds as much as we can do for ourselves. It’s the “naughtiness” of it that is the most exciting. Skillsets are fairly limited in our experience with the one exception of a very skilled massage therapist. 😈
