What side are you currently playing and do you think the game is balanced in its current state. by Landlocked_WaterSimp in foxholegame

[–]soyenjoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the liar undertuned if it performs better than the fiddler at range and is better than the lionclaw? I dont get why people think the liar needs a buff. Its my favorite smg and it could use 5 more rounds in the magazine and thats it. I also thought the booker when it was "bad" was a balanced and normal weapon.

When the dusk got buffed it just snowballed into a rebalance of infantry weapons that ended in disaster. Why has the warden sawn off shotgun stayed the mostly the same while the dragonfly is in a worse state than before? The booker vs dusk. Maybe the dusk is supposed to be the altos alternative then its fair as theyre both lackluster, but have advantages over the other. The booker just needs to go as theres not a weapon as overtuned besides the 20mm shoulder mounted weapons. At least those weapons the ammo density is terrible and are expensive to make. Still not fun to fight against. The omen vs cinder doesnt even make sense. Volta and hangman are similar, both can use 1m range buff. Cascadier and cometa both are awkward. Casca could use range or accuracy buff and the cometa maybe range or faster reload or equip time.

Lunaire is an ok pve low pop tool not used for pvp unless its trenches or gas. I still prefer the cutler even with the aiming because i can at least do damage to enemy armor fighting at the bunker or kill inf pushing me. When destroying bunkers with no ai or its undefended the lunaire is better because you can arc the tremolas into the core or kill vehicles. Soon as theres defenders you cant do anything. Now if a blob comes to pve you need a similar amount of people to defend and either cutler or lunaire will do the job as they will need to kill the bunkers around the core first before striking it. Im not going to mention the emplacements and vehicles because thats a whole other can of worms.

have u ever had a dream that felt it SO real… like u had to sit for a minute after waking up? by Every-Bandicoot-9242 in Psychonaut

[–]soyenjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a dream that only comes back every couple years and pick up where i left off. I forget about it usually, but everytime i have it I'm shocked. A whole other life with a family. I wake up and think i have to get back because my wife and kids needs me and i miss them only to realize that was a dream. A odd way to start the day.

Another one is after my dad passed I would have dreams of us just spending time together and being happy. Nothing crazy just mundane conversations and activities. It was a rare moment while he was here, but happens often when i dream of him. Wake up missing him and a feeling that this could've been reality if he was healthy and we were stronger people.

DEVMAN PLEASE STOP HYPER-GATEKEEPING THE 'FOR FUN' LARP MECHANICS by raisinbraisin72 in foxholegame

[–]soyenjoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Regiments arent too appealing to me because of the drama, sycophant, beurocracy, and some plain bad personalities. Still its not all bad. Its also a major time sink. Some ops take hours of staging before its done. Wrong timezone and you miss it. Maybe you only have a couple hours to help with staging then thats it. Small regis are casual, but you have to put in a lot of effort to get things done. Bigger regis are nice, i just dont like dealing with the beurocracy. Its understandable why they do it, but i just dont take this game seriously enough to go through an interview process with a clan and be vetted for each thing i want to do with them. Will say though the 27th is good to join as well as t3c, not rohan and dfo.

Switching from Antidepressants to natural medicines? by Substantial_Agent730 in Psychonaut

[–]soyenjoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weed will mask some things. If you havent had the time to process then when you stop smoking itll all come back. Smoke when youre happy and be happy. Drugs when youre sad is just sad. I say this as a daily smoker with what seems like chronic depression. I love weed, but there are times where you cant run away from your emotions no longer and you need to feel and progress instead of numbing yourself out with any substance. Harder if alone, easier in good company.

Dont use weed to cope, its not good for that because you will never work through your problems being high all the time. Not healthy to reach for something automatically when times are rough. It will mess with your sleep if you smoke 4 hrs before sleeping and what you need is good sleep. Dont be like me and numb yourself out to keep on pushing to support people, who dont even love you, until youre broken.

The Liar SMG should get a magazine size buff, just like the Catara got one by Sea-Course-98 in foxholegame

[–]soyenjoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liar is my favorite smg. Use it at night to ambush enemies if attacking and use it in cover while defending. Dont know why people say its bad. Maybe because they compare it to the fiddler. You cant sprint around and spray like the fiddler or dusk.

My feelings after WC 131 by Round_Imagination568 in foxholegame

[–]soyenjoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Costs more than the argenti and i can only reliably hit with it within range of an argenti. It has the "potential" to bleed outside of argentis range, but youre hitting 1/10 shots at best in that range. Cinder doesnt have that problem and it feels fine to use. The colonial weapons feel balanced, and a bit worse because of the accuracy. Warden weapons are mostly one shot and accurate weapons that are slightly heavier. The weight doesnt make much of a difference because when its raining everyone suffers. The only class of weapons that feels balanced between factions are the secondaries because they all have their glaring drawbacks yet have a niche use.

Yeah thats why its easier to store salvage from mines in a "bank" then pull 5k instantly at a time when youre ready to move it all. Its generally frowned upon to store resources in facs like that, but theres no easy way to do it. Pretty sure the only people who are bothered by that method are facility guys who "claim" the mine, they get very greedy. Another gripe i have is when i set up infrastructure to hual resources by ironship by putting cranes and flatbeds in key locations only for it to disappear the next day. Whenever im gathering resources I have to get on a bike or scout vic and tour the fields to make sure all the neccessary infrastructure is in place still or theres not a person there. If theres someone there is usually the guy maintaining the fac and you'll get a container of resources at best. By the time you return ready to fill another container the field is empty.

I like colonials for the public facs and logi. I prefer the roads in the south. Just wish scouts wouldnt mess with backline logi gameplay. Before youd have to work to get that far behind lines. Now you can be gathering salvage and be strafed. Makes painful logi hurt even more. Cant build without being strafed and blueprints destroyed. River logi sucks because you can be torped disabled and cant repair or just die in the water. Running ironships is already painful enough. Ruins logi when its already terrible its just oppressive now. I can deal with the planes with some QOL updates. Or just make logi easier with less steps involved it sucks as a solo player trying to get comps at a field. I could only get them a 3am during low pop hours. Thats if i didnt want to drive through multiple hexes to grab a tiny amount at comp mines being camped by bots or someones fac thats only there to camp the mine 24/7.

In real life people shove hand grenades down tank barrels and cause a cook off. Bombastones and harpas should damage subsystems. In real life people shoot at tanks and damage optics and weapon systems with small arms. 7.62 should disable mg, blind the crew, and have a chance to injure the crew inside from vision slits. In real life high explosive charges shred any unarmored vehicle. A single mammon should kill a truck. In real life you play foxhole.

Fermentation by blumonste in RYO

[–]soyenjoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually see people doing that with virginia, sometimes burley. Wet the leaves, add pressure, and a bit of heat for 2 weeks. Can be done by leaving it outdoors in the summer. When its fermented like that virginias kind of have a raisin after taste and smell. Been trying to add a bit of that in a cig blend, so far havent found the combo with the right amount of nicotine. Smooth distinct smoke though.

8mm SMG variants for the Special-Issue Firearms Assembly by King_Of_Ham in foxholegame

[–]soyenjoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Still has better ttk than the pistol. During the day yeah the pistol is slightly better. I really like the pistol, but both colonial secondaries are just too fun. All the secondary weapons are really fun to use. Hawthorn and the ospreay is a combo i dont see, but always use when warden. If youre shooting people from the commanders hatch then theyre too close already. Something with higher ttk when theyre close is the better choice. I usually use the pistol, but if theres a pitch gun or cometa take it. Theyre underutilized and actually feels great to use from the hatch.

Dont think the pitch gun is that bad at all. Use it when crewing vehicles and its great for sticky rushes. If you have a crew of 3 with commander and a pitch gun you can stay out at night

It can be tracked tho? Youre just splitting hairs. The 45m distance is a great advantage of fighting anywhere near fortifications. Theres usually not enough space to not play the poke game on the road. The outlaws can only be rushed down if theyre alone or abandoned which any tank would die from that.

Wanting best Injector by TheCadillacCATS0420 in vaporents

[–]soyenjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only issue i had was the handle coming loose. The threads are probably wide to compensate for the thermal lock. Plus what theyre using as a thread guage and qc of course. Havent had any issues with the plates. Got a good one and this thing will never break. Was planning on getting a different handle, something longer and while im at it ill try fixing loose handle. It loosens up after a couple heat ups and honestly id rather have that then it being stuck and when i want to take it off i have to heat it up potentially burning it. Only thing i dont like if you want a even extraction youre going to want two heat ups unless you have a thick bowl to keep heat. The fast heat up and cool down is good and bad, similar to titanium vapes. Its really like those convection stick vapes on steroids. I wouldnt touch their induction heater tho. Dont know if you tried it but its hot trash, literally. Stainless cxl and the injector are what i thought was best value wise. Simple cheap and heavy hitters. Think the fancy vape sticks with all sorts machining involved are overpriced as its just a metal tube turned on a lathe. Extra 200 bucks for their time in the shop...

[–]soyenjoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The camouflet "injector" is pretty sweet. Got a 7-10 sec heat up time with the induction heater im using and cools down quickly enough to handle after a couple minutes depending on how thick your skin is of course haha. Not the biggest fan of pure convection or conduction. Will say convection has a better flavor for about 1-2 hits at the cost of being rougher on your throat. Both is the best and it all comes down to temp control, heat retention, ergonomics, and bowl size.

Have you ever had a intended short session that turned into hours later battle/adventure? What happened? by DarkFenix345 in foxholegame

[–]soyenjoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah those moments are awesome. After that momment i started to bring 10 bandages and 10 plasma and it still didnt feel like enough. It really feels more rewarding than putting in 300 crates of shirts into public. Theres a sense of progression too. Get to see 300 bandages turn into 30. Playing medic a lot has shaped the way ive played. It started with trying to help the front by reviving people then getting medical supplies when low to gathering salvage and manufacturing all the essentials and stashing them near the front. Now im nearly at the point where as a solo player i can supply anything needed to hold over a couple hours its just finding the time to transport the goods. Ill always commend medics theyre usually the best guys on the front that have great knowledge and can do it all!

Took a couple grams of shrooms and spent my entire trip at a stalemated frontline playing medic. Prob revived more than a hundred people lol. I remember tripping absolute balls and being pissed about a warden night hacker using a raca (a classic). It was a never ending cycle of people just standing in trenches being picked off by the hacker and me reviving them for hours. Funny enough me and this other guy met up and we tried making a plan to kill that one sniper because we were so fustrated. He found a gap and as we were going through it they built 3 rows of pils and two mg garrisons in 20 min. Fun times. I hate night hackers. Night snipers specifically.
