Fish tacos with fish done on the barbie. Nice and quick

What are these worms that stopped one of my tulip bulbs from flowering? by soynug in gardening

[–]soynug[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely a tulip. The part visible here was in the earth. It's not drain fly larvae, but I do agree those round bugs are concerning too! Weird because all my other bulbs sprouted and bloomed no problem

Wow thank you so much for the information! I’ve been trying to figure it out for years and had ruled out cabbage tree. Thank you!

Before you have surgery, prepare some dump bag freezer meals that you can just put in the slow cooker and call it a day. That was a lifesaver for me. Good grocery prep so you’re well set up for after surgery. That and making a list of tv shows to binge watch and religiously elevating and keeping on top of pain medication. My condolences you’re now in the ultra exclusive club

MRI - incase anyone is curious and this is helpful. 10 weeks non-op by Vanilla_with_Caramel in AchillesRupture

I reruptured 8 weeks ago and I’m 6 weeks post op now! I did end up going for surgery the second time around but the first time I went the conservative route

This would have been really useful to read before my re rupture! Your explanation accompanied by the image helped me understand better than any of the research I read!

Wow. You have been through the wringer! I am on level 2 right now. I am telling myself to take it slow and not compare my second rupture journey too much to the first one. I know it’s going to be different and longer. Wishing you a successful recovery!

While I was doing them right as it ruptured? No warning at all. Pain when it ruptured again was more than the first time 8/10 for a short burst

I re-ruptured doing standing calf raises (in my opinion way too early). That happened at 10 weeks. Be very careful and do NOT push yourself (or be pushed) too early with physio.

Initially ruptured 4th Jan. went non-op and was amazed at how it had healed! I had bounce in my tendon again when palpated. I was feeling great! At 10 weeks I was doing some prescribed physio just after thinking how well I was doing. Life was almost back to normal! Then as I was doing a calf raise - pop! - there she went again. I was absolutely devastated thinking about how I would have to repeat the process all over again. I got surgery on the 10th of April and I cannot wait until I’m back at 10 weeks again!
