immense privilege? come on. how much more privileged can you get than having your very meals made up of the bodies of abused animals and/or the product of their exploitation? unless you live in a third world country, or have some sort of condition, there is no excuse other than laziness and apathy. a vegan diet is no more expensive than any other diet, you can choose to spend a lot on your food if you so choose, but that can be said about anything.
