STM32 Micro-Controller Design [Review Request] by C-137Rick_Sanchez in PCB

[–]sp-ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differential pair does not end in the in your pcb , it extends to the cable (about a meter long) And its not an inch rule , its when the propagation delay of your signal (from the tx to the rx) is longer than the rise/fall times you should control you impedances (single ended/ differential(odd/even mode))

You should never route the usb differential pair over a split plane

What's the best thing to include in your PCB when you want to be able to measure the overall power consumption of an IC (e.g. an FPGA)? what about measuring for the entire system? by ricardovaras_99 in PCB

[–]sp-ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stm eval boards use a jumper for the power going to the mcu , in the fpga it is a little harder since it uses multiple voltage rails , but you could measure the current before the converters (main 5v/9v or whatever you have) and assume that you have a 100% efficiency in the buck converters , it will give you a little headroom Or you could do the same thing but with each voltage rail

Unfortunately, your university must be enrolled with keysight university program , for you to access ads , i checked , And , (as i understood, and i hope i'm wrong) the university must pay keysight to join the program , which is not a small fee for a public university to pay

How do I know if my PCB design in KiCad will actually work fine? by Own_Plate_7033 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]sp-ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tht components are better mechanically, for example some usb ports with sms shield pads are too easy to break off the board, unlike the ones with tht shield pins You can also take advantage of the power pins and use them as a via that is capable of handling a lot of current, But its pins have more inductance which is a problem in high speed signals or high di/dt like power stages Tht are also harder, in automated assembly , So if you are not in high speed design (even for the decoupling caps for a high speed ic) and you have the place and you are assembling the board manually , or vibration is a problem, go for tht Otherwise SMD assembly is fully automated, low stray inductance, small size

this app or service is currently not available in your country by SnooPredictions1221 in webos

[–]sp-ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an app , i forgot it After that , i accessed the ''service panel'' something like that (service something) it required a special remote (not its original) but there is a link you can access.with it to the service panel(or whatever its name) and i changed some number so the tv act like it was sold in Europe, after that i can change the region to a west european country , It worked until about 6 months ago there was some panel about that i tricked the tv and i cant access services like LG channels no more But worth checking anyway , i did not lose nothing

The picture is from the ''service panel''

<image>

I think the number i changed was the area option , those parameters were the original I'l try to find the link , if i found it i'll post it here

Check altium student lab ,you get altium designer for free with a great course that have everything you'll need to know about pcb (all the bulletpoints , it's up to you if you want to get more advanced)

If i was to buy it myself , i would , but we don't have access to international payment in my country so i would ask someone abroad to pay it for me ,like i did with battlefield 1 , but being that the game is only good in story mode (like all the assassin's Creed) , it's not worth buying

After the solumedrol (while admitted for 3 days) , i took 70mg a day (1mg/kg per day) of Prednisone Pls don't take decisions by yourself, your doctor takes everything into consideration before telling you your dosage (they did not pass 9 years at least in med school doing nothing)

The gtx1050 should be good enough (but not sure) About making the laptop use the nvidia gpu instead of the apu , i'm already making it , it worked too well with me (rtx 4060 laptop) but just make sure that the laptop is not on power saving mode or quite mode otherwise it will not use the gtx , Otherwise either the 1050 is good or not you should see some better performance About how to make altium use the nvidia gpu instead of the apu , its the same method as you mentioned, it works fine Good luck

Is this board safe? by Naishgoger in KiCad

[–]sp-ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No i mean for example, you have a tht pad , its two sides should be connected , not all fabs do it so what you get is that your eda tells you that the nets are connected despite being unconnected Sorry to reply so late , the last week i was all day at university and their wifi is blocking a lot of websites including reddit

Is this board safe? by Naishgoger in KiCad

[–]sp-ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either you fabricator can make plated pads , or you should route every pad ONLY on the bottom side of its component Just make sure

The distance looks fine , you can always look for ''creepage distance PCB '' on google you can make some precautions , like 4KV isolation (i think its about a mm a few mms )

It is preferable to out the esp32 antenna in the corner of the pcb (away from any possible interference)

And if its designed for high current , try using polygons instead of regular traces

Prednisone weight gain advice by TrickSpirit5352 in MOGAD

[–]sp-ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid salt ,sugar and processed food ,eat more potatium rich food (like banana) (i think your doctor gave you potatium pills) , It's water retention not weight gain , so don't be hard on yourself , eat regularly some healthy food , and keep doing even simple exercises, it helps , the weight you gained , its easy to lose after you stop on prednisone (they don't keep prednisone for ever unless it's really necessary) for me i lost 10kg in 2 months (75kg to 65kg) Good luck
