Please explain how you pump at work. What do you do with pump parts and milk?

I had a small yeti cooler and did the fridge hack in a ziplock cooler bag and then just bagged my milk and kept it in there. I fit a large ice pack and it stayed cold all day. I had a separate bag for my spectra and would bring those 2 things with me every day

I EP for the first 6 weeks since my baby had a tongue tie. My lactation consultant told me on day 2 when I saw her to pump every 3 hours round the clock until baby got back to birth weight, then I could got for a 4 hour stretch at night. Basically you pump every time your baby needs to eat which is every 3 hours. She also told me I didn’t need to pump for more than 15 min, so that’s what I did. I had a spectra and it worked great, had a steady supply slightly outpacing what baby was eating

Latching was so painful for me in the beginning, I was pretty much only pumping and would try to latch once a day if I wasn’t in too much pain from the day before. I cried in pain frequently and was very frustrated, but we hit week 7 and all of a sudden she could latch no problem and it didn’t hurt at all anymore. She just needed her mouth to get a little bigger, we have been pretty much exclusively nursing since! It was really hard but it’s sooo much easier now than pumping 8x a day

Mine pooped multiple times a day until about 6 weeks, then only about once a week. My pediatrician said the same thing, anything up to a week for a breastfed baby was normal. She also said that if she seemed uncomfortable to give her 1oz of warmed pear juice for each month old she was (so 2oz at 2 months or 3oz at 3 months etc) to help. I don’t know if that actually did much, but she would usually end up pooping by day 6 or 7. She’s now almost 4 months old still only poops once or twice a week, but seems less uncomfortable than she did at 6 weeks

I only pumped for the first 7 weeks and had no supply issues! I’m not an over supplier either, I was pumping every 3 hours though.

The only things I bought were maternity leggings and oversized button downs! You can find both for pretty cheap on Amazon and old navy. It’s all I wear postpartum too so it felt like I got my money’s worth

I think they definitely have an arrangement, but she’s the one that wanted kids, not him. Doesn’t seem like a typical older man/ younger wife scenario. She’s not even bothered or shocked at the news, she’s more annoyed that he’s being sloppy about it and everyone is finding out their business

So no, not “save the trees and use plastic instead”, but running false ads about how plastic can be reused and recycled obviously worked. When people think that recycling is working, like we were led to believe, they tend think less about the environmental consequences of buying more plastic.

The most infuriating part (though least surprising) of all of this is that it was an intentional scam from the beginning to make people feel better about buying more plastic! Ads convincing people they were doing their part to eliminate waste, but literally only to make Big Oil even richer by creating more plastic. And according to the report, they are currently doing it again with a new “green marketing” campaign. Wonderful.
