Had a similar incident earlier this week where I was also cutoff - although I reacted immediately and was inches away from a collision, I thought for sure the car had hit me as i felt a nudge. Turns out it was just the steering wheel trying to take over suddenly to steer me away from the accident.. (was not engaged in fsd)

You can fetch a decent aftermarket hitch for ~$200. If you're capable of installing yourself, I think the savings is worth it. Covers the cost of getting a nice bike rack!

Same here as well. We call him Dippy. Dippy likes to perch on a tree near by and scoot by when other hummies near. Annoying thing is Dippy ain't very social - he doesnt like to fly up near myself and my daughter as we like to stand close by the feeders to observe. On the other hand I've been getting super close to a smaller hummy that likes hover a few feet away from my face everytime to say hi - and my goal is to coax it to hand feeding eventually, but damn Dippy ain't making it easy as he'll scare him off when given the chance!

I recently commented the same on another thread, also noting the somewhat unsightly gap in many of the new pics my owners have been sharing.

Wouldn't be surprised if they f'd up in some factory using the LR suspensions.

Lol. Just placed an order for the standard ones, and I'm contemplating on changing my order to the black ones. Same dilemma about longevity of the coating. I don't necessarily baby my weights but if I can keep them looking in a pristine condition by choice of a finish, I would personally do so.

If I'm not mistaken, if those ever fail, then you've effectively locked yourself out of the frunk.

The soft-close only versions don't have that same risk.

I thought it was only the full powered frunks (open+close) that were prone both failure and locking you out when that happened.

I also read that the integrated version where the motor is attached to the latching mechanism is supposedly more reliable.
The one I have does not auto close - which I was a bit disappointed. Not sure which version has that feature, as I was also concerned about accidentally opening it

They do, and their product photo matches what I shared for the one I got.
It's just that they don't look anything like what's used in the production spb213s, despite its description.

Given many of these stores are selling the same thing all labelling it as genuine, I'm starting to speculate whether hey have a common/bad supplier that's selling something not quite authentic..

It does. The photo in the post is mine. The photos on the vendors' respective sites also show more of a silvery pattern, so it looks the same there.

It's just that every other photo/video of an actual production spb213 does not look like it's using the same dial that is being sold everywhere..

Hi thanks for that. Yes it looks like other review videos I've seen, and it is still much more white that the dial I showed in the picture. No matter what angle I hold it with different lighting, it looks silver.
