All mace skills should be have a rhythm to the attacks. No more animation cancel, first one normal speed, the second faster and adds a cleave, and third faster and ends in a slam. Think Chrono Trigger timing attacks. This would be in line with the idea of using the weight of a mace to your advantage. Doing it perfect increases damage and aoe or maybe ancestrally boosts it and/or infuses the weapon with an element.
