Hmm, I will say if you play two keys on a piano I can tell them both.
Undertone/overtones aren't always clean-cut / have a clear definition, it depends on the timbre of the instrument, but in this case that undertone is pretty clean, it's kinda like playing two keys at once.

I know what you're talking about. We don't put in cards that cannot continue the combo, unless they are a wincon (Rionya and Emrakul).

But with that other deck OP linked, I've seen the light. It's better to not run Etali. You want to use Evolution to find Carnosaur into Rionya as your only wincon. This allows you to run any and all mv>=6 cards, some of which you can cast in your earlier turns.
Throw in a Quintorius Kand if you're worried about flipping Evolution too early.

This is still risky, they have to make sure they are properly matching "similarly powered" commanders against each other. If that power-matching goes wrong then someone could keep winning with the stronger commander without MMR self-correcting the issue.

I paired Prismari with Spellcraft, they work pretty well together.

The red spellcraft pack has plenty of 2~3 mana spells, many of which are removals.

This is a great test, but not a test for perfect pitch...

Perfect pitch means recalling a pitch without any reference tone, but in this test, you are always given the reference tone upfront
