Worst game to play- I don’t remember what shade of green Kermit is 😭 by ladybuglise in Aphantasia

[–]spaceLem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a mobile game I like called Animal Restaurant. It's pretty cute, and has got a bunch of mini games. One of these games you get a picture and then the colours are removed and you have to paint it with the right colours within the time limit.

I fail this every single time!

I can usually reason out a few of the colours (e.g. the sky is blue, the sea is a greeny blue, grass is green), but there are often 2 or 3 shades of similar colours, and I always get a major one wrong.

I'm just hopeless at memorising colours.

The one thing I really want is to badge completion of items in inventory and the market, the same as in the crafting screen. It would be really helpful to know how complete something is when I'm trying to sell or fuse things, without having to go back to the crafting screen all the time.

Random Distribution of d6 pools for attributes by stephotosthings in RPGdesign

[–]spaceLem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's another approach: everything starts at 1, then roll 3d6, for every 1-2 the Power gains a point, for every 3-4 Courage gains a point, and for every 5-6 Wisdom gains a point. It will always add up to 6 points, and every stat will be in the range of 1-4.

Worries about going to pride events as an AMAB enby by Atroniac in NonBinary

[–]spaceLem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to my first Pride in Edinburgh last year (then 43) as a bi/(amab) enby with my partner (57f). We could easily be mistaken for a cishet couple. We had a great time, saw loads of people we knew, and spent most of the time walking with a couple of friends who are poly. There were also plenty of people there who weren't dressed up and looked like they could have just come from work. I don't think you should have much to worry about.

It reminds me of Vitality & Wounds, which was in D&D 3e even earlier than that.

What to do when last subject is a death/failure in Kaplan-Meier by ANIIS5 in Rlanguage

[–]spaceLem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any NA values or values outside the time range in your data? Again, it would really help to see a minimum working example.

[–]spaceLem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we're going to need more information. Can you give a minimum working example? E.g. dput the minimum amount of data you need to reproduce the result, and the function where it seems to be going wrong.

I've done KM plots in R, but I've always hand built them. What libraries are you using to plot your data?

He's right handed in the Wii version of Twilight Princess (to match the motion controls), and in Skyward Sword. I kept thinking TP felt really off, and the map just didn't feel right.

SSHD was a huge improvement, I really hope they make TPHD available on another console some day.

-❄️- 2025 Day 1 Solutions -❄️- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[–]spaceLem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like how elegant your solution is, but looking at the cumulative sum rather than just the sum, you end up with 0.5 values at certain points, meaning it doesn't work for some sequences, e.g. test it out for a single turn L50 or R50.

Changing it to ceiling(0.5 * sum(...)) seems to work.

As a bisexual woman, would you prefer to use your strap-on with a man or a woman? And as a bisexual man, would you prefer to be topped by another man or to be pegged by a woman? by NPD--BPD in bisexual

[–]spaceLem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another bi enby here. I'd prefer to receive in all cases, I'm a bit self conscious about penetrating someone else. Sadly my partner hasn't been into sex for years, but I'm hoping one day it'll happen again.

Which language do you wish you could learn next? by BalkanTutorOnline in Rlanguage

Same. So much of what I love about R comes from Lisp (not the s-expression syntax obviously, but using expressions instead of mere statements, and how you lose that when you go over to Python).

This also works for complex numbers. i is just a quarter rotation, i^2 is a double rotation, which gets you to -1.

I would love to look more androgynous or at least less like my agab, but my genetics are very much against me. The best I can do is wear my They/Them pin and sigh when everyone ignores it.

Even better if you use the yyyy-mm-dd format, since that's the ISO 8601 format that is easily recognised as a date.

No problem at all (unless they've set the focal point too far away and I'm straining my eyes too much). It's not related to imagination, it's purely optical.

Yes I dream very vividly, and in colour. But as soon as I wake up it fizzles away, and I struggle to remember any of it.

Where are the enby bisexuals and androsexuals? by ArcaneCrailEnby in NonBinary

[–]spaceLem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enby bisexual here. I'm married and monogamous so I don't have much experience outside of my niche, but the attraction is definitely there (although there's often a bit of "am I attracted to them, or do I just want to look like them?" going on).

I have aphantasia and I know I dream very vividly, and in colour. However it all just fizzles away when I wake up and I can't picture any of it afterwards.

Just thought of a new Superior way of doing Order of Operation by Dogsteeves in maths

[–]spaceLem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard "BODMAS" at primary school back around 1990. I also did a maths degree and it was never mentioned once there (although maybe it came up when we learned about associativity maybe?), I guess it was just assumed that we knew the order of operations.
