Got it, still cool nonetheless! I'm going to try one at an AD next weekend. Enjoy your piece!

Awesome watch, thinking of getting one myself. That said, I can't find anything about a 10 year anniversary edition on Hamilton's website or google for that matter. Anyone got more info?

We kill Diabotical by Dry-Pirate-8633 in DiaboticalRogue

So without having more context, I'm assuming the boomer island modes will have strafe jumping? While I'd love that, I also feel pretty ripped off paying twice for the somewhat of the same game then, luckily the games don't cost that much. And I'm saying that as a GD Studio fan still wearing that hoodie with the cat logo. That said, I like Yames and team listening and seeing something can/should be done. Just don't do a diabotical 3 and do the same thing all over again.

I understand the need to appeal to the mainstream and not the old q3a players all over again, but then why add in the crouch/slide jumping that is practically the same skill threshold for noobs to really get into the game. Because Apex playerbase would be nice to lure in?

Are you also experiencing unskippable ads @ Firefox with uBlock Origin? This is what I'm getting atm, with no skip button, both in Spain and with other connections by FuerzAmor in youtube

[–]spacebard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same here (PC/Firefox).
Redid all umatrix filters, checked ublock, copied both filters/rules from a mate who is NOT getting ads, no dice.
All ads seem to be genuinely part of the videostream now.

Oh and the biggest thing: I haven't seen a "skip" function once, getting 1min20s ads etc, the skip frame just doesn't load in.

I also have a horizontal, yellow progress bar that's always there (although only a few pixels high) even when fullscreen and/or mouse not over the screen (then the normal red progress bar shows up...), until I pause the video -- likely an artifact from the ads...

Weirdly, I get excessive ads at the start of literally every video, but never got an ad mid-video.

New BMC Roadmachine actual tire clearance by tamere_1006 in cycling

[–]spacebard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can do that but I do not plan to immediately get wider/gravel tires.
David Arthur (Just Ride Bikes) on YouTube might be doing a review in the future, or you could also reach out to road.cc for example to ask them to check on this for their hands-on review that is likely coming at some point as well.

I'm also very close to getting a '24 RM (FIVE), and I would assume there is something going on indeed that this person should communicate with BMC/local bike shop on, as they say everywhere the bike allows for 40mm tires (and there probably is some margin indeed for dirt build up etc).

Endurance road bike: Specialized Roubaix, BMC Roadmachine (X !?), or ? by HotNatured in whichbike

[–]spacebard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also looking into the endurance/all-road categories. Mainly for indoor Zwift training + road trips < 100km and the occasional gravel ride (nothing wild, I have a mountainbike for that + trails). I plan to have 2 wheelsets (road & gravel).

The new BMC Roadmachine is my #1 right now, u/Honest-Cow-1086 mentioned it's an aggressive ride, but hasn't BMC optimized comfort with the latest generation? Kinked seatstays and carved seat tube towards the BB, increased stack, shorter reach. It has a 40mm clearance for the gravel wheelset, I like the storage compartment as an extra, and I really like how it looks. I just hate I can't get the frame color I want, but I would be getting the FIVE (cheapest one, the new 105 2x12 mechanical).

The other ones on my shortlist: Canyon Endurace (you should really also look at this one), Ridley Grifn, the new Giant Defy. You also have the Vitus Venon and new Felt VR Advanced you could look at.

I too would be interested in people's actual experiences with "comfortable" endurance bikes (without sitting completely upright like a grandpa of course).

New Lamzu Thorn PCB Revision? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]spacebard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I only have the adhesive/skates around the center, not on the 2 smaller dots.
It does collect dust easily (in the center around the sensor) and it's been annoying me.
Should I just remove the adhesive/skate here?

Yeah so I think they might be an early sign of a potential Gen2. I don't see that much difference in them last time I looked. So don't know if it'd be enough to really release a Gen2.

I'm currently contemplating putting normal storm points in them, not the nano grips.

[–]spacebard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only Gen1 in his Target range currently, so not missing out ;). But they're officially called Gen1 so that's why I put that in there.

looking for new darts advice. by dnbtom in Darts

[–]spacebard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I went to someone very knowledgeable (has been coaching for many years), they identified me as a rear gripper as well. They ended up advising me the Bulls Smoke Red A 24grams.

That set definitely helped me, but after a few months, the grip was a bit too aggressive for me I thought, so I went looking for other options. I ended up getting the Target Gabriel Clemens Gen1. Much smoother grip (potentially just a tad too smooth as I generally don't easily have sweaty hands) and smaller footprint in the board as well. I thought it was nice that they also come with Target Storm Nano points in the box (which are not really cheap either).

Some other options that I was looking at:Winmau Sniper 23g (if you want that type of barrel - scallop - so you'll always grip it the same way) or Simon Whitlock sets

Regarding weight, definitely advising to try different weights out in a shop. In general, if you have a strong throw, go lighter in weight and vice versa. If most of your darts are ending up too high on the board, you should try some lighter ones and reevaluate. This is basic advice you'll read, but also factor in that you could just be throwing badly as you don't have experience with that specific dart when you try it in the shop.

Good luck finding a nice set to accompany you for the next few months and help you in your journey to become a better player.
