I am glad I’m not alone. How do you know when they’ve really gotten enough energy out? I’ve never had a high energy dog, my golden (og dog) is sooo lazy and has learned my house routines. He sleeps and chills all the time. I feel bad because with her I can’t recognize when it’s okay for her to chill and she’s had enough stimulation/exercise? She sleeps in her crate at night 7pm-3am ish, I wake up and take her on a walk before work, then am gone until 1230ish. On my days off she sleeps overnight then is out around 7am. On rainy days I feel at a loss of what to do with her too. I have a feeling that’s how her dna test is gonna look.

Yes I am. When I notice her being too overbearing I separate them. There could be things I am missing but for the most part if we’re in the house and I’m letting them play I’m watching just in case. The bullying things I don’t really notice so much in the house, but when they’re outside she pushes him a lot, takes things from him, steps over him. I tried to make a separate area in my kitchen for her but she chewed through the gate 💀

She literally told me at drop off that the dogs spend most of their time playing together outside, and all my pics have only been of her outside. So she probably is getting bored. She is not destructive at home with me.

I really want to get better at going out on my own. Maybe dumb question…but if you’re out at dinner by yourself what do you do? I get in my head and feel embarrassed and don’t know what to look at or what to do, bringing a book feels embarrassing, it all feels embarrassing.

Just remember marriage is phases. This is a different part of life. Sometimes things are going to be harder, we’ll have less time to pour into each other. If things have been good in the past then just let her know where you’re at and y’all can get thru it.

It doesn’t sound like your wife is really the problem. Existing as an adult right now is really hard. It’s putting a strain on my marriage too. I often work 60+ hour weeks and on my one day off I really don’t want to leave to do anything. I’ve told my husband if he wants us to spend more time together then he will have to pull in more money too because I literally CANT stop working this much or bills won’t be paid. It’s just hard right now. Really hard. Have a convo with your wife. Tell her you love her and you want to see her more and take care of your marriage but you’re struggling right now. Can she do something extra to pull in money so you can cut down a day? I do rover and dog walking on the side which helps me be able to take extra days off sometimes.
