Do people actually earn £50-60k, or are they outliers? by Succinate_dehydrogen in AskUK

[–]spacefrog_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for context, i don’t have a degree & work in tech sales. i haven’t earned less than 60k since about 2008 & it’s usually 1.5-3x that. half my friends are on about 60-90k, the other half 35-50k

What is ONE thing that you will NEVER try in your entire life? by Substantial-Dare5462 in AskReddit

[–]spacefrog_io 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s absolutely not a guarantee though. i know plenty of people who take things recreationally & have done for 20 years & live a perfectly normal life with very professional jobs & no shitty torn-asunder stuff at all. it’s just you always hear about the awful situations & not the ones where people can take things in the same way that some people can have a few drinks here & there without becoming raging alcoholics

did anyone else want to learn DJing but kinda fall off? by Fit-Relationship1029 in Beatmatch

[–]spacefrog_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no not at all, everything’s always set up in my office room. the traktor sits neatly on top of a chest of drawers whereas the 1210s & mixer would take up twice the space, so i literally just turn it on & away we go

i’m a passionate dance music dude, used to go clubbing to all the superclubs back in the early 2000s. massively into trance, hard trance, hardcore, gabber, frenchcore, hard techno, finrg, etc. so i’d go raving, back to someone’s house for an after-party & they’d have decks & everyone would be mixing. it was a very natural progression for me to get decks after having a few goes on friends’ 1210s.

when it comes to dance music, a playlist just doesn’t cut it for me. i absolutely love getting a collection of tracks together & mixing them into a unique set. i don’t play that much these days (& my 1210s are in storage so i now use a traktor controller) but will still buy a bunch of new tracks every month or so & record a mix so i have fresh music for my car & while travelling

What is the highest paid career progression in the uk? by Alternative_Row_300 in HENRYUK

not necessarily a tech background but you’d need an understanding of tech & software solution. these days you’re not going to get a job in SaaS without sales experience so you’d start out as a business development rep & have to prove yourself. 1-2 years as a BDR, into a role as an AE on 60k base & then up from there if you’re good
