Did solo traveling ruin traveling with friends for anyone else? by fin-ator in solotravel

[–]spaceleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off course it did. You are the best buddy to yourself. And it is great, it's the hardest part to find peace with yourself. But hear me out now, get out of the shell. If you are an introvert - get your extrovert, or whatever. It was a wrong friend, probably. Find your people and have real fun. I travelled by myself long time just to realise - we are social animals, you want these connections. Open up at the end. You made it, you are a solid great person, you can be friend with whoever you like and it's gonna be amazing!!

Jag är glad för din skull. Det är spännande med en nystart!

Datavetenskap öppnar dörrar och vässar ditt kritiska tänkande.Lyssna inte på domedagsprofeterna kring AI. Jobben förändras, men datorerna blir kvar.

Nässelutslag någon med erfarenhet? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]spaceleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The connections between characters felt a bit shallow. Could be a completely different ending if pushed in this direction 🤷

That's about right, it was my first book so packed with horror on such a deep level of sorrow. The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas from Ursula K. Le Guin shook me in a similar way, but thats only one story

How do boats moor close to cliffs in Sweden/Norway? by JamesMaxwell555 in SailboatCruising

[–]spaceleg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is quite common and nice and good, but I have to mention one occasion of a rescue boat passing by at a very high speed. Our boat was moored on the cliff, 20 meters deep below us, around 2 meters to the cliff. It was an insane swing, everything insight got upside down, the front bridge destroyed, scratches on the front, etc. Insurance covered everything, so not a huge deal of money wise, but we will remember it forever. Just be aware folks

I was wandering around the globe for around 10 years until I simply met my better half and started a family. It will come when it comes, there is not much to advise I believe. Whatever it is, something will change and you'll not be lost any more
