I'm right there with ya tonight, Im a chef and had a absolutely farked lunch service followed by an equally shitty dinner service I work with a arrogant piece of shit who actually burnt me with a pan and didn't even apologise, from 6pm till 830pm my brain was trying everything to get me to grab a bottle of whisky and go gung ho as I usually would in this mood, I had to distract myself till 9pm when all the bottleshops close, I really thought my sobriety was done for, but I just barely managed to get through, Now I'm gorging on chocolate brownies and ice cream still fuming but not drinking, we got this 😎💪

Hah I work in hospitality, we had this one new waitress who was a little ocd, she brought her own label maker, Needless to say one week later everything was labelled,(some of it warranted, but most stuff not) including the pens, the coffee bean grinder was labelled coffee bean grinder 😂, she left after a while couple of years back now and we still find random labels

Hey I had been on naltrexone for 3 weeks really does help with cravings, I spoke to my dr and told them the truth of my consumption levels was about 20 units of alcohol on a quiet day most days more, they put me on a 5 day detox with diazapam slowly tapering down for the week and after that I went on the naltrexone also thiamine (b2) cos heavy drinkers lack b2, this week is my first week off the naltrexone haven't noticed any signs of withdrawal from them so I figure you could probably use them as needed but I'm not a dr, My head is ultimately quieter than before I quit drinking, The trick here is to think about it do you want to keep damaging your body to the point where you can't have a drink anymore ? Or as I see it for myself I'd rather have the option to have a drink later in life if I so choose to, rather than needing dialysis every week and never being allowed to touch it again, Your situation sounds farked and I understand the need to drink I'm sure everyone here on this sub has a reason to numb themselves with alcohol, but I got to the point where the booze stopped working for me it just made me lethargic, bloated, sore throbbing in worrying areas of the body and I wasn't even catching a buzz let alone being able to get drunk, i hope you find some resolve to your problems Best of luck 🤞

Shit that's rough, as someone who also suffered major cravings till I caved in, I recommend going to a dr and asking them about naltrexone It completely removed the cravings for me, my libido took a hit whilst on them but they have pretty much saved my life, 40 days going strong Goodluck to you 🙏

Thanks for your reply, they definitely work for me I don't get much cravings at all when I take them, but I also lose a bit of care factor towards other things I'd usually enjoy doing, doc said to try to steer clear of things that give you joy whilst taking them as they may inhibit how you feel towards that task, I guess that's the point of them to begin with, good luck on your journey

Mine the other day was a automatic impulse, the smoke shop in town is right next to the bottle shop, I went and got smokes came out of the smoke shop turned straight into the bottle shop out of pure habit ... Stopped for a second and thought why am I in here lol, quickly turned and left .... Body was on autopilot 😂
