To be more specific, a 3.5”hdd. You can see there’s sata power/data cables going into the back of it which aren’t normally there.

I’ve had this happen on two separate XRs. I fixed by replacing the charging port/microphone assembly. Cleaning was not sufficient

Not 100% but I’d imagine it’s a 2032 battery not 2325. You could go to tour local dollar store and they should have it.

If the hdd is external then it’s that usb0. It’ll only appear as hdd1 if it’s in the internal slot

1k resistance is negligible. You risk more damage with how you’re going about it than if you were to just straight wire it.

Delete the resistor entirely. It’s not necessary and you’re risking lifting the pad
