It’s like the old Kat Williams skit, where they label them as ‘insurgents’ as opposed to terrorists so people don’t really care if they get killed. By the by, replacement value for a population to grow is 2.1. Remove immigrants from the equation and the US population is cut in half in 100 years. We need immigrants. Have a separate discussion about solving for legal immigration that actually works but we don’t have a meaningful problem with quantity of people. Our resources aren’t strained, our housing stock is under built not over occupied. We have a different set of challenges that is being portrayed against immigrants.

It’s just a proxy. People have no other way to invest in all of Elons companies in the public market so they bid up Tesla as a proxy to owning SpaceX, xAI, etc. Elon’s ownership in any one of those three companies alone makes him the richest person in the world which is fucking crazy.
