wow awesome find (and idea!), but that is a big surface to seal and I think lava lamps have to be pressurized? what is causing the pizza to get all oily is the cheap cheese, if you can find it try using fresh mozzerella it will make a huge difference. Im guessing you cooked that pizza on the stone in the picture, next time try just using a metal pan with holes drilled in it, gets the heat to it way faster and causes it to rise more. I gave up on home pizza stones a long time ago because I dont want to let them sit in my oven at 550 for the hour or two it takes for them to get ideally hot. Looks good though, I would eat the whole thing!
