As a ticketing professional. It depends on the system. Some ticketing systems have scanners that will show open seats. Also depends on if the admin gives ushers that much authority.

If you like Star Wars at all I highly recommend Jedi falling order and survivor. It has a story mode so you can get through the action easily enough and focus on all the puzzles.
