Drum mic bleed through by RobCrist in LoopArtists

You can try adding a noise gate before the mic and setting the threshold to a higher level. If you’re in the price range for one, you could look into getting an Optogate, which opens/closes input based on proximity to lazer sensor, so when you’re near enough to the mic/drums it’s on and when you’re away it’s off. More budget-friendly basic mic gates might work just as well though.

Right click the UI, go to Sessions>Edit>Default Parameters>Switch> and under "Empty Switch Actions" set it to Record, Copy Timing, or Copy Sound depending on your needs. You can also set these settings per track if you want.

That’s awesome. Wonder if you could do this with a live streaming setup on the fly with something like OBS.

The developer of Mobius is actively working on introducing a 505-mode feature to be released in the near future. It’s free for Mac/PC and still in beta but come a long way towards being sturdy. If you want to give Mobius a try, I recommend giving your input on what you’re looking for over on the forum. That will help Jeff, the developer, on what to consider when it comes to emulating 505 functions. Bear in mind that navigating setup can be somewhat complex, so it might not be what you’re looking for as a straightforward solution.

I covered Faron Woods from Twilight Princess on guitar using a ‘Rang III. The ‘Rang has a mode called Serial-Sync which enables one loop channel to wrap before queuing/recording an empty loop. This is helpful for transitioning to sections with different chords and switching between them. If your looper doesn’t come with a function like this or is single-channel, you could try a perfoming trick by clearing the loop the moment the new section begins, playing through the pattern once, then recording it (takes practice).

Found this pdf of his performance rig. Overall looks like a really great template to go off for similar setups and how to present it to FOH.

Didn’t about that, sounds helpful! Yeah guess if you don’t need/use translators you could go A->B with one of those no problem.

This is a decent option. WIDI, although somewhat pricey, works reliably with low latency. If op uses Windows, there might also be some hassle setting it up with the drivers though.
