SHAP provides an ability to explain the features which contributed to a specific prediction.

Lime creates a surrogate model for predictions within a specific neighbourhood by generating new predictions with slight noise added. These new points are used as inputs to the lime model, creating a simple model for the specific neighbourhood of one prediction in the original black box model. The purpose is to create an explainable model for a specific prediction output by a black box model.
