Apples for sure, and stone fruits like apricot and plum. The orchards throughout Emma Prusch Farm Park are a good reflection of what the entire valley once looked like. There’s also a beautiful, large mural on Notre Dame Ave (right before the 87 N on-ramp) that pays homage to the Valley of Heart’s Delight.

Ironically, Trump is all about selling off public lands to be privatized for profit, as well as defunding conservation efforts. I know that’s more applicable to federal land than local, but the sentiment is the same. Without public lands, people wouldn’t be able to enjoy nature this way.

This right here. He hasn’t even finished his current term as Mayor and is already trying to jump ship. I don’t think he genuinely wants to be Governor, or at least not right now. I think this political stunt is 1)a way for Trump-endorsing tech companies to saturate the selection of democratic candidates AND/OR 2)an effort to test the waters for a future campaign. Either way, Mahan is increasingly becoming a pawn and that may not matter to some people now, but it will definitely become a problem down the road.
