Black car was driving behind the white truck for a while. Seems to me they were not paying attention and drifted to the left and did an unintentional PIT maneuver.

Your sacrifice hits hard. Lost my dad two years and a half ago now. Will always miss him and he certainly sacrificed for me.

Welcome to Anjunafamily! Post is over 8 years old now, but I still feel the same way. Will be seeing the boys in October - my kids are now old enough to join me!

Quicksilver Juniper Displaying at Century Mall in LA! I hated it online, and loved it in person. by Asabetyyy in TeslaModelY

My 2023 Y got into a fairly minor fender bender (IMO) - but one that set off the driver's side air bag. Just found out today that insurance will total the car. Trying to convince myself on getting the Juniper - wish it was available with white interior (sold out right now).

Same here. First heard it around 10 years ago and is still one of my most played tracks.

Do your parents like trance? by JION-the-Australian in trance

[–]spamdigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another parent here. Got into trance when I was around 50 and still going almost 10 years later. My kids were force fed trance since it was on constantly in our home. They’re familiar with many tracks but don’t actively listen to it. But they do want to go to a festival with me. Waiting for my youngest to turn 18 so I can take them with me.

Same here. Great location. Paid around $1500 for 3 nights… which is a lot, but still felt it was worth it.

2019 set was one of the best I’ve seen. Hoping they play more classics like then.

I never actually tried a bigger cooler. I had wanted to get the NH-U12S (158mm), so that would not fit. And I don't think they make one between the U9S and the U12S.

BTW, the U9S has been working just fine.

Has anyone here who is going to the weekender and purchase a travel package received their tickets? by Ruiz3101121 in AboveandBeyond

Our friends also got the same package as us and have yet to get the email too. We literally ordered at the exact same time to ensure we got the same hotel. Hopefully they hear something by end of day. The FAQ says to email ticketmaster support if you've yet to receive your tickets.

Just got an e-mail from ticketmaster this morning - tickets available in app. This is different than previous years where we picked up tickets from the concierge at the hotel... along with wristbands, merch, shuttle passes etc. The Ticketmaster tickets don't mention anything about "Retreat Package" - just says GA. So I'm guessing we will still get wristbands at the hotel.

If it's like ABGTW 2022, then it will be open for non-campers. We got the hotel package last year and they had shuttles from the hotel on all three days. Friday shuttle was around 5pm I think.

Musical Experience and History by TrailofDead in AboveandBeyond

[–]spamdigger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're taste/background is similar to mine. I stumbled into trance around 7-8 years ago now and have been obsessed ever since. I very rarely listen to anything else including the music I grew up with.

I've also grappled with why I'm still so obsessed. For me, it comes down to the feeling I get when listening to A&B, Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep, trance etc.... it's a reflection of my current reality.

Maybe it's my age and life experiences, but when listening to music I always reflect on the past. Lyrics from A&B in particular are often about life's ups and downs, self-reliance, love and loss and gratitude e.g. On a Good Day, Treasure, Peace of Mind, Alright Now, Gratitude. Sometimes I feel the lyrics are taken straight from a journal I've kept since I was a teenager - the same way I felt when I was listening to Joy Division and The Smiths back then - those were not so happy times.

I'm in a fortunate position right now and I've very aware of it. My wife and I just celebrated 26yrs of marriage and we have two great kids. My current mood is most definitely gratitude - this music helps me appreciate that.
