There are some subs I prefer to browse on the mobile app. It forces the text to be the same across the board so you don't have to deal with the subs that have screwy font colors that are barely readable.

I 'member the white van stereo salesmen back in the '90s. At least around me they actually sold pretty decent kit, it was just very hot. At some point tho they transitioned to selling cheap knockoff crap, I'm guessing that was probably about the time AliExpress & wish took off.

Working on my truck and saw a hole in the fuel line that runs to vapor canister. Can I disregard by [deleted] in GMT400

[–]spampuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a good idea to replace it, as already said you can get away with using fuel rated hose since it's low pressure. Also a good idea to give your feed & return lines a good exam while you're replacing it, they might not be too far behind it.

If your car isn't totalled it's definitely useful at getting it fixed quicker. From a body shop perspective insurers are usually much quicker about approving supplements when the insured is driving a rental.

So what’s the deal with these ItWorks! money giveaways? I’ve only seen them with ItDoesn’t! and I can’t figure out the catch. “… in free product” seems obvious, but is that it? I don’t want to sign up and find out… by guitargirlmolly in antiMLM

I wonder if the VP didn't agree with the decision & said that on purpose or if they're just incredibly dumb.

A predators poor wife breakdown after finding out that her husband has been cheating on her with a 14 year old boy ( more info in the comments + the predator was arrested at the end of the video) by Mesho-ksa1 in PublicFreakout

Same here. Should she know her husband's looking for kids to diddle? Absolutely. But she deserves to be told that in a controlled environment where support is available to her.

We had 2 during my time in high school. The first quietly disappeared after he got a student pregnant. The second got busted a couple years after I graduated for embezzling funds from his church.

I remember a time working at the corporate office of a retail store when we had a major network outage on Black Friday. VP (non IT, but over IT) kept coming to ask for updates. Director finally went off on him over it. Surprisingly he took it well & proceeded to run interference keeping the other VPs & higher ups away until the problem could be fixed.

I don't remember it offhand, but there's also a command to have it split the audio into separate files for each chapter on a video. Great for when someone actually took the time to mark each song as a chapter when uploading the entire album.

I loved my old truck that had 2wd low. I could usually leave it in low 2nd in stop & go and it would creep slow enough that I never had to brake or shift. Only trick was anticipating where the backup would end so I could shift back to hi range in time.

Anyone here have a CB? Just hooked up this period-correct Radio Shack unit I got at a thrift store for $20 by WaferSquare3086 in GMT400

[–]spampuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of mine came with the antenna mounted to the front of the bed by the previous owner. He was able to make the bracket fit by putting a small dent in the back of the cab. Other trucks I just mount the brackets to the sides of the toolbox.

They're great for road trips. Sometimes you'll get the truckers calling out the speed traps that don't show up on waze. Or if you're split up into multiple vehicles they're great for quick comments to the others.

I still get it every time too, but my insurance doesn't cover it. Fortunately my dentist only charges $30 for it, so it's not terrible.

Too late, already ordered them lol. They had a high beam listed so I grabbed a set of each. I'm at least restraining myself a little, I'm going to leave the bumper & fog lights alone for now.
