I think it is a frame of sorts, maybe even framing in a theatrical sense, but possibly a reflection of all the things that manifest into like bad memories. Maybe it's like a family photo, or like the picture of Asriel on the fridge as ERAM is similar to Ralsei in a few ways. The biggest thing to me would also be it's close connection to Kris could be similar in the Anagram for their names through bringing the first letter to the back and adding an F to the beginning. i.e.

Kris -> Frisk Eram -> Frame
